just so y'all know, this fight was a few hours ago so i might not remember all the petty little details that i usually remember :)

OK its about mid battle, we both using dual cleric grey forms, the armies are as follows :

Him : 3 knights, 2 clerics, 2 pyros, 1 LW

Me : 1 Knight, 1 Scout, 2 Clerics, 1 Witch, 1 LW, 1 BW

quite a predicament (spelling > me). I decided to lay back and try to take his pyros with my scout 1st, so i started on his 1st one. he was reluctant to "waste" a cleric heal on just a pyro, so he send a knight forward to pressurise my scout. with my usual cunning, i waited til the opportune moment and then barriered my scout, who was seperated from the rest of my "army". he sent his knight at the BW, but when he broke its focus, he was massacred by a scout/witch/LW/knight all pounding on him, even with the cleric helping. after that knight had succumbed i managed to finish off his pyro with a fine shot from my scout (one of those funky trick shots where u aim at the square behind the unit u wanna hit). and i healed up with my clerics. he sent another knight around the other side of my army, which was pretty much unprotected. he hit my witch, my witch hit back and hid behind the clerics. he hit a cleric, the cleric healed and ran behind the other cleric + witch. he hit the 2nd cleric, who healed and ran behind the witch/1st cleric in a lovely little cycle. meanwhile my knight was pounding on his, and when he reached my cleric again i barriered it, and through careful positioning of my knight, i tempted him with my injured witch, just 4 spaces away. he took the bait sure enough, and went raging towards my witch, when only 1 space was between them. KABLAMMO WAMMO, he had forgotten about my LW, which finished his knight nicely. (id checked before to make sure his knight wouldnt have more than 23 life when he got to that stage). another knight down.

surprisingly, he then sent his last knight charging at me. much the same happened, and finally he was left with 1 pyro, 2 clerics and an LW. the pyro soon succumbed to my scout + witch, and he surrendered. aha. ahahaha.

This happens to me all the time (they rush in with knights and I pick them off). Had you use a funny chanty move...I would have laughed pretty hard. It seemed like a pretty fun game.:D (I never have the best comments.)

Kudos to you for pulling out a tough win.

Considering that he played so abysmaly in the end-game, how did he ever get such an advantage in the 1st place?

cant remember much of it now, but i recall there was something along the lines of "blocking"...nuff said?

seriously the only 2 instances of the game before the point i wrote about are this:

1) my assassin moving between his witch + pyro (both of whom were on <18 life) and attacking, and BOTH of them getting a side block. meaning my assassin got her ass kicked.

2) i recall that when one of my other knights was hunting something or other he managed to fail 2 consecutive front blocks to a scout. and he was finished by the mages.

thats all i can remember, and all i want to. i hate dumb blocking, earlier today i lost out on a very much needed witch drop just coz i had the most abyssmal blocking ever (vs a tough opponent u need at least some blocks to win)
