Annoying Spammers...Amazing how the first thing i said makes everyone pissed off.....especially when the one's spamming are golds!....well here's one of the many gold spammers!...

why does it matter if you just make another thread. Its OKAY to have one more thread its not going to do anything. And where else would you post this?

You could post it on General Disc. but this i think suits better. Hence y it says "Reports" in this thread. So don't just say shit ok Walrus.

u will find it says "battle reports". nowhere in this thread did u post a battle report, hence my post. if u have a suggestion as to how to stop these spammers then put it on the suggestion forum, if not, stop whining, surprisingly simple really. so dont try to insult me and think you know better, as i know better than everyone. ever.

ah thats an easier one, it matters because you clog up forum space with multiple threads on the same topic. and if it was that important he coulda posted it on a different thread about spammers (and if there wasnt one on the front page, then look for one in some other pages since its clearly such an important issue that it needs to be on page 1)

Why wouldn't he when he is right? And no, Walrus isn't always right. On numerous occasions we have disagreed on things and each time he was wrong but at least he takes it like a man :D.

When it really comes down to it TAO is here for the excellent gameplay. The chat is just an extra function so it feels more like a community and for convience in organising games and what not. The game still works without a chat function. I agree spammers are bad bad people but i don't think the problem is in such a way that any threads need to be made about reporting them.

And what makes you think DR has the time to scan through all these thread to find reports about spammers so he can do what? Send them a cautionary e-mail? He isn't going to delete their gold account just because of one incident... It would be unethical, illogical and bad for business.

So why not instead of wasting my time replying to this stupid thread and wasting walrus' time and wasting DR's time don't *you* talk to the spammer *yourself*. They might tell you to shut up but wah wah, who cares, but maybe, just maybe they'll stop.

Or better yet why not start a conversation with them, ask them where they are from... At least then you might benefit from the whole experience instead of just dumping the problem at someone elses doorstep and expecting it to be solved. Or if it's too much for you why don't you get in a game then you won't have to listen to what is going on in the lobby... How is that for a cracker of an idea?

I think there should be a spammer section of the forums, so that all who feal it is their duty to the TAO community to report spammers can do so, it makes the rest of the forums non-cluttered with this topic, plus DR, if he wants can go off and unleash his wrath on a few spammers. And anyone who posts about spammers anywhere else, will reveal himself as a forum n00b :D But thats just my personal opinion, i think it would just make it much easier.
