it says it takes less than 24 hours unless he is on vacation, and i dont see him being on vacation

lol, last two times i went gold it was gold in only liek 10 hours

the standard as is prescribed by those who aid ppl subscribing now is that withing 1 business day you'll typically be upgraded.

Generally though, unless 2 business days have passed, there's little point in posting or emailing about it since you won't get upgraded any faster.


If you read the gold subscripion page now it doesn't say u'll be upgraded in 24hrs :)

now being 44 hours, still no gold

and in the email it auto sent, and on a couple of the intermediate subscription pages, it said "within 24 hours"

here's what you do: Set all your clocks back 24 hours, and it's like your account is being upgraded on time!

I find it strange how most people reply to complaitns like this by saying "relax, it took me even longer" or "DR is a busy guy, etc."

So the image that i get is that DR almost never makes his 24-hour deadline that he set for himeself, and that people are sucking up by defending him by saying that he's a busy guy. The reason i say it's sucking up is because there really is no way for us to tell how busy he is. Occasionally he will say something about how busy he is (funny, that's exactly what someone would say if he wasn't busy).

When i hear complaints like this i say "that's strange, my account got upgraded in under 15 minutes"... at least this way, it doesn't seem like DR is constantly behind.

I'm not sure what my point is.... but if DR is constantly going over his 24 hour deadline, he should probably give himself another deadline... like 72 hours or something.

it got upgraded sumwhere in the range of 50-58 hours

consider that there are over 1000 golds registered on rev (over 1300 I think) and that there are few who complain here in the forums :)

I think its just that we fail to notice the ones who don't have an issue since they don't go out of there way to report here that everything worked fine :P

sidnote: My gold accounts were ALL upgraded within 24hrs...Trout Masta was upgraded in like 6.

I agree the times can be a bit random. By busy people also mean DR does try and have a life outside TAO, and doesn;t sit holding his breathe for the next upgrade to happen.

But I would suggest changing the suggested deadline from 24 hours to 2 business days. I have never seen him miss that one.
