special stuff:
counts as two units
the barrier field is like the pyro attack
after 8 turns the barrier fades
pieces in barrier can attack without breaking barrier but cannot move
all peices in barrier are not counted as living peices (so if someone takes all your peices out of the barrier you lose)
no other BW may be used
incapable of barriering itself

um so ya ... how does everyone like it?

edit:seeing as its a ward i changed the blocking to what a normal bw blocking is

wow! that would be like SOOOOOO useful!..... if u had say 2 knights vs 1 knight, that would be so cool!.... great idea!:D

you have to remember that all barriered peices count as dead peices so you cant barrier 1 remaining knight ... i was thinking more along the lines of turtles but you could prolly barrier their 2 knights and win

So you can barrier this amplifier as well as your two clerics and not need to worry about someone sneaking up on them, yet you can still heal normally?

and also, could you then use it on ure enemies units if they had like 3 knights and you had one? thatd be pretty slick

With a range of only 4 and only 22 hit points i think it may be a little tough to keep it alive?

exactly ... but look how powerful it is while its alive. plus it takes a bit of skill to keep it alive

edit: although if everyone wants me to add more hp or armor im open to ideas

could it be used in a similar way to a stony, ie shielding itself whilst shielding others.

and, if it is shielding more than 1 unit, and one of them moves, does the entire barrier disappear, or just the part around that unit

i actually made it for the dtony purpose ... i was thinking about each peice having a seperate foild but thats a good idea about one peice moving hte whole thing goes away

There is a serious imbalance in this unit, you mage bomb and just concentrate on killing ranged units, you then simply have the master BW in the corner, a LW beside it and a knigh infront, bingo you win . . .

hehe read on ... you cant barrier all your peices ... anything in teh barrier is not considered a living piece therefor if you barier all living peices you lose ... so having only one knight left youd be severely screwed because you couldnt barrier it

I like this idea too, I could see it as coming in real handy if it survives until the end of the game, you barrier all his units, and you win.

This is actually overpowered. Yes, it's 2 units, but you could put your cleric, stoney and the *master BW* in a corner, barrier the cleric, and the BW would naturally barrier itself and the stoney too if the stoney and BW are next to the cleric (making the cleric, stone and BW immune to sniping, yet can still heal normally). You can then wander off with your 2 scouts, muddie and dragon to wreak havoc, knowing that your support units are safe.

Put it so that it is incapable of barriering itself, and make the barrier fade time about 10 turns, and you've got a reasonable idea. Or make units unable to act when inside the barrier. As it is, if you turtle with this and get first turn, you're laughing regardless of what formation you're facing.

It's a very original idea, though, so well done.

thank you bottle ... i thought i had it where it fades after 6 turns but ima check it and add it now if i forgot to put it because i thought about what your saying

edit: i did say it fades after 6 turns
edit: i have it fade 6 turns because you woulndt need to barrier it to protect it from non magic attacks ... the cross already blocks scout LOS if its in the corner so making it not able to barrier itself would be pointless becuase you could barrier it without barriering it.

Nope. If it's in the corner and barriers the 5 spaces in a square next to it, you'd still be able to hit it from the side of the board, with a chess knight shot. And most rushes do have a scout on either flank.

Nope. It can barrier itself, and 4 other units at the same time. This, in my eyes, causes a problem.

This is an interesting enough unit that it's worth a bump. Plus it's being considered for the committee so what the heck.

I can't make up my mind about this unit. It seems overpowered on one hand yet weak on the other hand. I quite simply can't make up my mind about it.

This is an awesome unit! I haven't seen originality like this in ages. Well, even if it's basically an upgraded BW (less original ;) ), it is without a doubt the best upgraded unit I have ever seen. This idea is awesome and should be nominated for whatever it is they do to put the name on a list. You know, the CAU thing. GREAT work! I think the game needs another contraption anyways.
