Farewell Banff

Well, I've come to a decision that most of you will probably love.

I'm leaving Banff.

There are two reasons for this.

First: My password was "guessed" a few weeks back, and after numerous emails and PM's to the administration; I've yet to hear a response. While I realize they are busy, a month should be sufficient time to respond.

Secondly: I'm concentrating on my account and work on Army. This doesn't mean netjak will fade away on Banff. We are already well established there, and Banff will always be my (and netjak's) home. Fry and Hugh will be holding the reigns down, and are some of the best people (and players) in all of TAO.

I'll be assisting Roody Poo on army, as *he* is the leader, and I will be the co-leader.

Farewell Banffers... much success. Thanks for the great times. I've been here since December, and fate has taken its toll and I will roll with the punches.

Glad you're not leaving TAO. But I need people to count on who beat me regularly!!! Most everyone beats me at one point or other, but you beat me many more times than not, so I knew I could learn a lesson from you each time we played. And besides...I'll miss "PLAY ME YOU GOLD PUKES!!!":(

Army better know what they're getting!! You're one of the people that truly helped to make Banff the greatest server.

But what's this about the admins not contacting you? What's up with that? That's kind or weird!

Thanks guys for the kind words... And "weird" is an understatement. I'm not going to open a can of worms, but I truly feel neglected from the administration.

Again, I realize that they are running low on staff and time; but would have hoped for a bit better response. Even a simple: "We received your request, but are extremely backed up." would have been nice.

Oh well. I'm not stressed.

Your not the first and only one to mention the lack of response. It's a growing trend in the help forums.
TAO is a great game. And doesn't NEED to be added to or updated to maintain a successful business. But it does need more customer/staff interaction and maintenance of this relationship. The staff is overworked, and obviously unable to handle the overload of customers requests that come to it.
Communication is key in any website/game. A simple note saying what is going on is more than plenty to keep people happy.
A perfect example of this is the time it takes to upgrade to gold. The website and emails all say 24 hours,even though it has not been this in a long long time. Best way would be to simply change how long it would say it will take.
Instead it just continues, with new members whining its been 24 hours, and vets telling them to shaddup n00b.
But I should shut up now, for this is not the proper place to bring these issues up.

We'll hold down the fort for ya, 66. Banff won't be the same when you're gone ( it'll be A LOT safer for " gold pukes" ). You're the guy that convinced me to join, invited me and made me co-lead on Banff. Don't worry. Fry and I will keep it running over here. No punks or pukes allowed.

hey net, i understand your frustrations with the password...i tried to get do to change mine and that was 2 months ago..well it got changed alright..and now i can't even log on with the new or old password....fuking pisses me off............................................... .................................................. .. oh well i can count on one thing...it won't get fixed cause obviously they don't care, i have sent many and i mean many emails to get it fixed and it still hasn't. well hopefully someone with some athority might actually read this and say hey...i can fix that here let me take care of that for you....but i doubt that will happen

Sorry to hear that, netjak. You're a good player, and our last game was very, very close. I am glad to hear you're not leaving entirely, and that you're moving to Army. Now Si has a friendly rivalry there :)

Oh, psycho, netjak, did either of you ever send a PM to Burning or another moderator? I know netjak.com and burning have had trouble a while ago, but she probably can get DR the easiest. Just a suggestion.

yes i talked to bu about it and talked to muscle about it, the only person i got to do anly good was duo and then i got a response...but they still didn't fix it......i mean give me a fuking break, when you get an email from dr (like the 8th one) and he says he just fixed it...do you think wow it's fixed cool i'll go check it out so you do and guess what it DOESN'T FUKING WORK!!!!!!!! well needless to say i was happy about them fixing it................but now i am even more pissed after seing that they didn't..........i'm at a loss of what to do
