TAO loading slowly???

Is this true for the rest of you as well?

Lately TAO's homepage, and forums, take FOREVER to load. This is true on dialup, but also on ubercable internet. this is with computers ranging from crap to brandnewspanking superfast.
Is anyone else having this trouble?

I've experienced this a few times lately actually.
Usually it's quite fast though.

It's been happening to me a lot. I was assuming at first that it was the animated banner fad that was causing me trouble, and my switch to 40 posts per page, but I realized that even the post reply and edit post pages load slowly. And yesterday, the game loaded VERY slowly for me as well.

I've noticed a slightly longer delay, but it happens all the time.

In an attempt to test this problem out I have tried the follwoing. I have viewed the site and forums using:

Apple g3 iMac on 2mbs Cable internet
Apple g5 on 2mbs Cable internet
Windows XP home on antholon 64bit 3200+ processor on 2mbs Cable
Windows XP home on antholon 64bit 3200+ processor in dialup
Windows XP home on antholon 64bit 3200+ processor on t1 wireless
Apple g5 on t1 wireless
Windows 98 p3 on 2mbs cable
The PC's I used IE and Firefox, the Apple G% I used IE and Safari, G3 IE

All of them are slower than they used to be, although the dialup of course is A LOT slower.

The game loads fine. But the site itself, as well as the forums, just has a much longer loading time than it did 1 month ago. And, BTW, i have benners shut off so they are not causing the problem

I've had problems with not only the forums and homepage loading slowly..but often times getting the "Page cannot be displayed" message.

Is the homepage and the forums on the same server as the arenas? Maybe there's just a lagg from alot of logging in and out?

If not then I dunno how to explain it. There's been tons of posting on the forums lately....maybe there's just alot of people refreshing and posting at the same time.

I doubt the games are on the same server as the site.... since the games crash a lot more often.

It's just people refreshing a lot from posting probably. Since it does seem to be an on and off thing for me

Actually yes it took me 24 seconds to load this page to post I'm not sure why.. The game runs fine.. but the forums are just wow.. at first I thought it was virus but since so many people have it.. no i'm not And i'm on cable.. it's pretty bad..

Its not goin slow for me but it is a bit slower than usual when it loads the graphics.

the onlything that has been running SLOW is the post reply page.
For example: it took 5 mins the the page to come up to type this, every thing loaded, except fot the actual space were u type, that remained black.

yes sub, i consider my Post count very low. It just so happens that urs is lower than mine.
*checks post count* hmm...i got to 520, and i dont even remember breaking 300 after all my posts were deleted, that dreadfull day.
