I'm trying to make a compendum site for my scout LOS help site, but I'm having a problem with my paint program. Anyone seen this before? Look how it saves images:

Did you resize the image at all??? When resizing an image in paint, if you stretch it manually, it kills the image. You have to use the stretch/skew option, and set it for like 150% on each, then crop the image.

When you save the image, make sure it is set to highest quality of they give you that option.

I figured out the problem. for some reason, the images default to a low quality. I had to open an existing high quality image I had on my comp, then paste over it, and resave. Thanks for the help though Jeff.

By the way, can anyone guess the subject of the help site I'm currently working on?

Burned burning? Yikes.

MS Paint sucks for making web images.

I will tell you this, don't save your images as a gif nads. Also, I want to help make your site if you need me. IM me at Rog2ers and I can help get you screenshots and use my image editing programs for you.

What program would you recommend? I have photoshop, but no idea how to use it.

I saved them as jpegs, and found my original problem. I appreciate the offer, but at the moment I can't think of anything I need help with, other than being a tackling dummy in the lobby, but there's tons of greys who have been unwittingly helping me with that.

Excellent!

Open the image in Photoshop, then use File>Save for web.... For photos, use JPEG with ~80 quality. For images, like words and such, use a GIF with the least amount of colors for which it stays looking good.

photoshop is too complicated. Look at my banner man. You think I know how to use anything other than paint? Remember, paint is a Microsoft program, Microsoft programs are always incredibly easy to use, although they never function exactly as you would want them to.

Here's (http://www.psgallery.co.uk/index.php?page=tutorials/thebasics&tut=4&stut=8) a site that could help you with the basics of photoshop. Or you could just got to www.good-tutorials.com and do a search for what you want.

I find photoshop incredibly easy to use...although I dont do much with it...

For a screeny it automatically creates the correct window, you just paste it in, crop it, maybe create a new window, save it as whatever. You are all set...

...?

I want to see what you come up with for a chanty... a chanty... line of paralisis?

Are you going to be including barrior wards in with this? Because to me, they go hand and hand.

actually, a chanty can often be used extremely effectively to end a game without needing to use a bw at all. Some people are masters at the use of chanty without the bw crutch.

The site is up. I made a thread in general strategy called "Easy to Understand Enchantress Use" I don't want to link it from here, because I'm interested in seeing the number of page views on the thread that does give the link.

I'm double posting, but I did reserve that right in another thread...

I know you did third, but I'm too impatient to spend the time learning all the buttons and doo hickies in the program. If it wasn't for having a computer for the past 16 years, I'd be afraid of them too. I'm "technologically challenged" among other challenges I have. [/Self Flame]

Yes, but this takes clicks.

1. File
2. Open
3. Choose file (double click)
4. File
5. Save for web...
6. JPEG
7. 80 (use slider)
8. OK

I did those instructions from memory, too! It's not hard! Embrace it!
