Not saying that xXx isn't a good player, but its easier to get stats up on Legends than here. The main reason is there's no grey wipes there, so greys can get to 1400+(Big X got his grey to 1500+). But still, getting to 1900 is quite an accomplishment.

not only that, but it seems that Legends uses a different point formula? Winning the same fight on Legends gives you more points then it does here. So I say that the Legends players stats are a bit...inflated?

Using the ratings calculator from both I tested this theory.

And it doesnt hold up. The same formula drives both rankings.

But the fact that the point base is not diluted every month with a wipe is a very valid explanation of the higher ratings.
You alsi have to look at the concentrated player base. If you took our 3 servers and lumped them together, our overall highest ratings would also be higher.

no guys...xXx only plays golds, so the grey thing doesn't hold up much. in fact, justabout everyone 1450+ on legends doesnt play greys (except for pacifist. He's a REALLY good player). Golds on legends dont jump greys for the 2 points. 1900 players can only get points form 1350+ (around there), and hardly few greys can make it that far. So it's the greys that eventually play the greys for points, because the golds dont really want to =P

except for the noob golds (in legends their called "goobs"), who pump-and-dump the greys. We jump them and rape their 32 points per game =p

Sorry. Its just that its not all that hard to break 1500 as a grey on legends (I am currently at 1501). For the ratings there just whack off about 150 points, and it should be about right. Or maybe more. Even I can beat Aza grey on grey (he happens to have the best rating there) although he complained about luck (I had about 6 units left in the end). He hates me now.

For the real ratings (those that are here) 1900 is going to be almost impossible.

Aza is netjak woooot! And yea he has had bad luck and you can't really expect him to be super at grey, he is a superd gold turtler though. *beats aza gold on gold* As i was saying....

Nah, it'll take about 80 wins and no losses against an average opponent rated 1400ish, starting at 1700. That's 2 or 3 months work.

Despite the fact that point gains come so slowly at higher ratings, there's also somewhat of a built-in "safety net." I've noticed that at or around 1700, the most points you can lose in a game is 16. That's still a lot, I know, but it's nothing compared to the 25-30 points a 1400 could potentially lose...so the higher you climb, the LESS the fall hurts? Is this a system to encourage high-ranked players to play games? In any case, I too believe it will be Bottle or rantzu that reaches 1900 first. I'd like to say I will, but time just isn't on my side.
