I've noticed a few references to newbs doing things that aren't really allowed and I'd like to know what some of those things might be. I'm confused and a little bit worried that I myself might have broken an unwritten rule.

Is it really? So it's against the TOS to have 2 TAO windows open at once? Strange, I could have sworn that one of the mods (can't remember who) said to open a second window and sit in rev if you have a gold account, because rev was too quiet and needed people in...

Just because it it accepted does not mean it doesn't violate TOS. It is written in black and offsilver in the TOS.

If it is accepted, it shouldn't be in the TOS. They should change it to making extra windows usable, but for no purpose other than to chat or play in two DIFFERENT servers.

Change it to a maximum of one concurrent connection per server would do it good enough.
The TOS was designed before multiple servers were created. So it would make sense to make some changes to it now.

They can't do that, because everyone would then have to agree to the new TOS before logging in again, and that wouldn't be easy to organise.

Actually, the TOS can be changed at any time, and the only notification required would be to note in the TOS that an amendment was made.
Companies are not required to notifdy you of changes to the TOS, unless such change would affect the commercial aspect of the service.

Changing allowed connections to include multiple servers wouild not change the affected commercial service.

Some of us have been trying to help the newbs out.

I don't see how the newbs will benefit from coming to this section unless they have someone to learn from. Of course, Sensui, if you really don't want our advice we could go back to GD...
