Why do I keep getting disconnected from the server? It's annoying as hell.

Absolutely nothing!
Everyone gets disconnected from time to time.
It's annoying, isn't it?

But a few quick tips are:
Don't swear or say any filtered words.
Don't press F5.

But it's not from time to time. Everytime I log on I get disconnected a while later when I'm playing a game.

I get disconected from TAO constantly, since my internet connection can't handle TAO. I guess it's too big or something...

But lately it's been working. I think I finaly got everything fixed... maybe now I'll go gold. I want to get in on the new unit...

Too big?
TAO can be handled by pretty much every computer.

It's most likely your connection if it's happening THAT often!

I don't really know what comcast is.

I have comcast too, from time to time their service is choppy, meaning it will connect and run fine for a while, then for the next hour or two it will not work, but still may get service for a few minutes.

You may just be going through one of those comcast periods. Where do you live anyway?

Well... I don't quite understand what was going on. But when I had big things opened like TAO, Trill, or the program I make graphics in my internet connection flickers on and off, and won't load pages properly. When it's not working right like that, TAO just freezes up and boots me.

I have some "hometown utility" as my internet provider.

But like I said, it all seems to be working for me now.

I live on the Cape ( Cape Cod in Massachusetts).

Is comcast a foreign internet service?

Comcast is in the US. Haven't you ever seen the Comcast high speed internet service commercials on tv?

It's actually probably just what Aro said.
Sometimes my provider continuously disconnects as well.
But only for a few hours at a time.

Usually if you get DC'd once you will again within the next hour or so.

Well, I live in NJ, so apparently Comcast has grown a lot more than I had though. Here's my suggestion: unplug your cable box (disconnect the cable from the cable box that goes to your outlet), wait a minute or two, put it back in, wait for it to load up, restart your computer, and you should be right as rain. That's what I usually do if my internet craps out.

Here is my advise; Change ISP, an ISP incapable of maintaining a contant internet connection is not serious and is not worthy worthy of your time or money.
