If a cows noise is "moooo", and a dogs noise is "woof"

How the heck do you make an elephants trumpet noise?

DeadFishGuy

Get reincarnated as an elephant.

Or listen to an elephants trumpet looped on a tape while you sleep.

Jeffery

No. I am saying how do you type something that just looks like an elephant trumpet???

DeadFishGuy
10-25-2004, 04:40 AM
Not sure.

You could get an elephant to trumpet into a microphone and run it through one of those speech-to-text programs. See what it returns.

Is it universal the dog sound is "woof"?
What about "arf" or the geniric "bark"?

An elephant could as easily be translated as "pbbbfffft"

I was thinking more along the lines of an "h" replacing your "b".

PPPPPPHHHHHHHFFFFFFFFFFTTTTTTTT.

Wait that doesn't look right either. Maybe just add the h's and leave in the b's?

PPPPPHHHHHHHFFFFFFFFFFFFBBBBBTTTTTTTTTT

Hmmm, well, I like the first better than my second. Sorry jeff, that's all I got.

May I suggest "WOOOOOOOOOT"?
I'm surprised Cav didn't beat me to that.

I was thinking of something more along the lines of "ppppppppppprrrrrrrrrrrrrrruuuuuuuuuuuuuggggggggggh hhhhhhh"

Actually, since there are no letters that can represent those sounds, no one is right.

DeadFishGuy

Hasn't anyone got an elephant, a microphone and some speech-to-text software?

Or we could completely alter the English language to include this sound.

That would work too.

Jeffery

If you can install the voice recognition software onto a laptop and connect up the microphone, you need but to go to the zoo and find an elephant.

Just out of interest, why is this thread in the Newbie forum?

T3km4n

It is in this forum because Jeff is a newb.

DeadFishGuy

Here's one that'll really perplex ya!

Rabbits.

Jeffery
11-03-2004, 11:25 AM
Actually, it is in Newb forum because LESS of the dumbasses come here than GD.
And, having heard a rabit before, there is one sound that it makes I can type.

SSSSSCCCCCCCCCCRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE EEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
SSSSSSSSCCCCCCCCCCRRRRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Ever hear a rabbit scream?

DeadFishGuy
11-03-2004, 11:31 AM
Jeff, what exactly were you doing to the rabbit at the time that made it make that noise?

That's just freaky.

Dark-Death

An elephant goes "BWAH" and jeff your rabbit sounds like its in a blender. :p

Jeffery
11-03-2004, 03:37 PM
Bwah
bwah....

Nope. Doesn;t work.

And a trapped rabbit screems just like that, and is a scary noise.

T3km4n
11-03-2004, 05:39 PM
What if you shot a rabbit? Should it make that noise?

Jeffery
11-03-2004, 06:15 PM
No. If you shot it, it should be dead.

T3km4n
11-03-2004, 06:52 PM
Not necessarily. I shot it more in the behind area, then in the head up close.

That's still a little to big, try this:
http://img106.exs.cx/img106/4024/Untitled-28.jpg

Just copy paste this:
(IMG)http://img106.exs.cx/img106/4024/Untitled-28.jpg(/IMG)
into your siggy.

Except make the "(" into "[" and the ")" into "]".
