I have one little question for you guys. Where have I been kissing up? I never asked, wanted, or expected to be a Mod for DR. I have heard people referring to my ebing turned down as a mod, and that is omplete bullshit, cuz I never wanted to be a mod. That would require following the petty wishes of an admin, and I prefer to follow my own lead. At times, that is in line with what the Admins and staff want, and at times it is critical of them. But even during those most critical times, I still felt the wish to help those who need helping.
My helping people is not from want of anything but the fact that helping those who need it is the right thing to do. Anyone who knows me in forum or game know I believe in doing what is right above all else.
Sure, there are many many cases where I acted unprofessional here. But guess what? I am a person here, not a professional. I do not pretend to be something I am not.
If you claim I am kissing ass, I say show me where. Butbecause you are selfish people yourselves, and unable to understand a person who gives of themselves by choice, and not compulsion, I will always have pity for you.

As for good mods, I don;t think anyone here would make a good mod. Each and every person has close attachments to others, and would be biased towards their friends and competitors.

I haven't seen him for a while, not sure exactly what he's up to, but I'll take his word that things are happening. And I did catch the server upgrading last night as I was bombing Ali with Pms.
So Bills may yet convince me that he's moderately awesome.

But say that you don't want to be a mod, why, and that you wouldn't accept it if it was offered to you.
If you say that, I'll believe you.
And I know that in the future, you would keep your word and avoid the dark side.

i dont think his sucking up is for modship at all. i think he gets in the mods good books so that anyone he takes a dislike to, he can flame and whine at as much as he likes without the mods taking any action.

i refer you to the time about a month ago when him and o_p decided to insult and wind me up for an entire night "just to get a reaction out of me".
did the mods even so much as warn him? of course not, coz he is jeffery the ever helpful who does loads for TAO.

im not denying that he does a lot for the game, but the result is that he becomes almost above the rules.

i doubt bills would have banned you jeffery, even after posting DRs farewell.

Wow, it looks like i'm in disagreement with almost everyone on almost every matter here. Perhaps it's because i dont read every single thread and every single post, but my impression of jeff is seems to run contrary to everyone's (including his own apparently...) I think he'd be a great mod...

Any posts of his that i would consider impulsive or aggressive always have a lot of rationality in it, not to mention an inherent expository nature (which is key to a good mod).

But i must say it did seem to me that he was sucking up when bills took over. Mainly because of this thread:

I can see how some would think that. But considering that at the same time I was doing that, I was also the ONLY one here willing to continue giving DR his chance to say goodbye, I think people need to see the bigger picture.

1) FACT- This is Bills site and game. Threatening him is useless
2) I hate people who whine and make idle threats. If you threaten to cancel your accounts, have balls enough to follow through and not coming whining back later apologizing.
3) The couple who will cancell will be replaced by n00bs in very short order. In the long run, the game continues. Quitting over a small issue is useless. (By the way, that was the advice given to me by the members of this forum)


Throughout the game here, whether I was in a pissy or generous mood, I have always spoken my mind, whther it seems to be for or against the current flow, or against the admin and staff. If is seems like I waffle for and against, then maybe people should look at the fact that since the admins do good and bad things, agreeing with them all the time is useless.

General Disussion: Made thread after DR took 1 week to upgrade gold acount, and ignore 3 pm's and 2 emails, and one thread in gold help about it.

Other general times of saying DR was swamped and unable to keep up with his job of upgrading and maintaining accounts.

There are also several communicastions I made expressing distaste for the rampant favoritism in the game.

Expressed distatse at manner DR was removed.

Posted DR's goodbye thread on my website. Also I had his WC conversation there until I was told I would be blacklisted and banned. Still maintain that deleting that thread and othbers was wrong.

Jokingly threatened to blow Bills up when he first posted the 1 scout rule joke.

ive never questioned his honesty, just his methods and motives. there have been plenty of times he has give unneccessarily harsh on noobs. almost every "im new" style thread ive seen in the newbie forum he has been critical about. often about banner size and such, whereas a more polite approach would probably be just as, if not much more effective.

As for my methods, I don;t give a damn. That is why I don't want to be a mod. I don 't want to HAVE to do anything. I much prefer to do whatever I feel like.
And polite apporached suck. I much prefer to be brutally honest, and just inform them of the standards, and results that would happen if anyone here gave a damn and backed up their own policies.

Yes, But I am bitter here so i can remain none bitter in the real world. I used to be the same person here and RL. I changed that when i decided this was a good place to relieve stress by being cynical.

And being cynical actually does take more work, but it's a helluva lot more fun.
