Ok Jeff put me up to posting this when I showed him.

In Australia we have the Big everything. The big banana, the big pinapple, the big rum bottle, the big hard rock guitar... All in all we have 150 'the big ...' all over Australia. These Big things are meant to represent what the town is about.

Where I live in Newcastle, also has a big thing.

Right now... It's dark and it's raining. But we go down and have a swim during lunch time at school in summer. My school is a stones throw from Nobby's beach. But i admit you're right. There is nothing quite like the experience of climbing the inside of that... ummmm... Queens wharf observatory... Brings back memories.

I don't think you got the biggest...although it may be the best. In Hong Kong we have a skyscraper nicknamed 'Clinton', for it's tall and 'erect' appearance. I don't have a photo of it though, and I doubt I would get one before I forget about this post.

Hmm... to me Newcastle looks like any other coastal city in Australia... am I missing something?

You're missing that fact that noone else knows what Australia looks like except for what they have seen on Crocodile Dundee. And the fact no other coastal town has a Queen Wharf OBSERVATORY buddy!!!

You have a larger building yes, but it hardly looks to exactly like an erect projection. Show me a picture of it with a large head like that Queens Warf has.

He is refering to their having the largest male organ, not the largest building.
