I cant login to tao

Press f5.

Seriously. This reloads the screen, and will begin the download of the new version. :)

delete all your cookies, clear your cache and try again, if that still doest work, repeat and restart your computer

Then close the game window. Clear the cookies and cache, reboot your computer, then load it again.

Couple of questions:

Have you been able to play TAO before?

If you have, how long ago?

When they tell you to clear your cookies and catch, you should go to Tools> Internet Options > Clear Cookies and Temporary Internet Files. Did you do this?

i played yestarday i use a mac and i have played before

Ok, well there are several generic things that you can do that might help, the main one being clearing your temporary internet files. Make sure you have done that right. If it still doesn't work after you do that, resart your computer and try again. If it still doesn;t work, trying clearing your files again.

After all that if it doesn't work, you don't have a common problem. My guess is that you have some type of filtering/restricting software on your computer that is interfering with the game. I can't help you there, as that is not my area of experise, but someone else might be able too.

Also, did you install anything new on your computer since yesterday that might have messed it up?

anybody remember what TAO is saved as in your temp net files? if all else fails you could find where your temp net files are storeed on your hard drive and manuelly delete them, i have no idea why clearing your cache and cookies would work when you just played yesterday, but jester may be right, have you installed/updated any new software since then? if so you might wanna check if it could be interferring

I actually don't know why I'm right, but I've found randomly clearing cookies and TI files usally works. :D

Remember he is using a Mac, and he is connecting to the server just fine. It IS telling him to get the new version.

Since you are on a Mac, the F-keys do not work. Right click in the very upper corner of the TAO window, and tell it to refresh. You might have to play around until you hit an ative area outside the flash window.

If you have truly cleared the cookies AND the cache (temp internet files) and reloaded the window, and nothing works, then just give up.
