Everyone here that I've seen that is linking images has been using image shack, or somehting equally as horrible. I've been using 1asp Host (http://1asphost.com) for a couple of years, and it's the best I've found. It allows you to link out side of the site (great for signature banners), and gives you 100 MB of storage, free. Plus you can sign up in basically no time, and requires very little information.

excellent form to start off a thread...a hostile insult at the tools used by the majority of members

Imageshack > 1asp. imageshack doesnt require any signup, and, therefore, no logging in.

or you COULD sign up, and have all of your pictures kept in one place, so you can fund anything you ever up-loaded, in case you need it again.

Yeah. Imageshack has the option to become a member, and then track all your photos. There is NO limit in how many still.
Which means you can do anything this 1asp can do, without the 100mb limit.

Don;t quote me when you say that. He is happy with what he uses, and thats good for him. He just needed to understand that what he is attacking has more than he thinks it does.

First of all, I didn't mean to offend anyone, I didn't realise you were taht loyal to an image host.
Secondly to answer Dark*Demon's question:
ASP is Microsoft's OLE / ActiveX scripting environment. It allows programs or scripts to be ran from within HTML documents on the server, and the program code is replaced with the resulting HTML code. ASP is not an actual scripting language, just an environment that allows you to choose and use a scripting language. At the moment, only two languages can be used: VBScript, a toned down version of Visual Basic; and JScript, a Microsoft version of JavaScript (which, I add, is not compatible with JavaScript used by other browsers).
Thirdly, 1asp has several pros over image shack.
Image shack is for images only (and excludes .bmp), 1asp allows you to upload anything except for .avi, .mov, .mp3, .mpeg, .mpg, .ra, .ram, .exe, .rar, and .tar, most of which aren't usually needed anyway. I was suggesting this mainly because I figured someone would want to upload their .html for the forum design contest.
Allows for downloading a backup of your account.
Folders and sub-folders for better organization.
No activation email sent, faster registration and more security.
No file size limitations (imgshack limits to 1MB).
The only possible thing I could see that image shack has that 1asp doesn't is unlimited storage, but if you're only doing images, it would take a few hundred to use up 100MB.
I'm not trying to pick a fight or anything, I was only trying to help others by telling them about what I think is the best free host available, frankly, I don't care if you use it or not.

Thats why I told him to not quote me. The biggest advantage for imageshack is ease of use. No logging in is needed, and you can host in seconds.
1ASP sounds fine if you need that much to happen. Personally, i use imageshack for my quick and whatever pics, that i will post once and never look for again. The rest i use any one of my website serers. I have a 200meg, 300 meg, and a 1gig webspace servers with different things i work with. And the 200 meg and 1gig one have unlimited bandwidth. :)

It can't be an mp3 (assuming thats what you tried), as already stated. You could upload a .wmp or .wav, however.
