Right.
So, after half a dozen emails of angry sounding people telling me to get the RGL goin' again, I figured I'd better step up and do it. Do it. DO it. Er...
So, since the last one had several flaws with it's rules, and it required a JUNK load of work to keep working, I propose something much more simple. It goes a little something like this:
20 people are in the league at any given point. This number could also be less. Definately not more. Once every 2 weeks, the bottom 5 people would be "kicked out" of the league, and 5 new players would replace them. That way the numbers would be changing often, but the best would still remain the best.
As far as getting into the league goes, it would merely be a first come first serve basis. A thread would be open, and pinned, at all times for people to sign up, and they would receive a notification email when they were entered into the league.
From this point - it will always be a Sunday when the new league starts, and last exactly a week, until the 2nd saturday... (Ie, from the 1st - a sunday - to the 14th - a saturday.) Every other sunday, when the new league starts, would be used by me to PM/Email the new contestants, organize results, and hopefully possibly get any possible prizes in order. I have no idea about that last bit, havent talked to Bills or anyone else about it.
As far as a system to determine who's winning in the league goes... Its quite simple. You can only play each person in the league once per two weeks. A win is worth 3 points. A draw is worth 2 points. A loss is worth 1 point. This gives incentive to at least PLAY games, which I know was a problem before. Because this way, if you dont play, no points are awarded. Obviously, person with the most points wins, least points loses.
To me, this seems rather simple, and very uncomplicated for the people running it. Everything could even be done through PMs, since Emails are such a pain sometimes.
Now, if I get support here for this, I'll do up a set of "official" rules for what I have above. If I have zip support, then I'll find an archived version of the old rules, and see where that goes. What do you lot think?
Do you even want the league?
