I'm tired of people leaving the room before the battle is over.

I'm sure this has come up many a time before, but its just starting to anger me. just now i entered a battle. first move shot a couple guys with a pyro (scout and pyro) his scout shot my pyro; blocked so he left. DAMMNIT.

It can be quite a pain to know a potentially worthwhile game can be ended with one person leaving as soon as the game begins, but xyxaxyz2 is correct in stating that people who leave are not worth your time in the first place. Only through challenges can you become a better Dark Lord, so it stands that by weaker opponents fleeing in fear, that the only way to find a true challenge is to begin a search for players near your skill level and play them often. Soon, all shall tremble before you, and your name my even enter the same annals of history as that of The Dark Lord Wurtil. Just be sure to eat plently of pants.

I am a newbe but i agree, and what seems worst is you spend 20 mins in a game, and your opponent is about to be beat and they simply leave. I might be wrong, but in the few cases i have been in i don't think i got credit for the win, and thus cant advance as fast.

You always get credits for wins. Most endgames are boring anyway.

People will usually leave me if I start winning. I agree about leaving though. It ain't over till the fat lady sings.

I am glad when they leave if I am beating them. The endgame can be super boring. If you have someone running around a lightning ward and you have no cleric, that can be frustrating and take a ton of time to just produce the inevitable.

My opinion is that if people are going to leave they should use the surrender option.

The endgame can be super boring true but all I ask is that players at least let you know they are leaving, just quitting a game and ignoring someone simply because they beat you is rather childish. It's a shame how most people seem to regress when they get online.

Seriously, though - the people who actually play and play seriously, even with little skill, far outnumber the trolls. It's just that the trolls are louder and constantly screaming "FEED THE ATTENTION WHORE!!!1!!!", so they get the attention.

I've found more serious players on TAO than I expected. Most people I play end up saying something before they surrender, and that was also unexpected.
