this lamer just started about 10 mins ago, and has racked up 27 kills ( and counting ) with his friend FREE KILLZ ( free killz takes out his only unit, a pyro first turn ) - i know this because i jumped free killz to see wtf was happening.

so isnt this cheating?

oh look, in the time that took me to write this theyve played 2 more games.

theirs 4 kill givers going now, so for the time a legit games finished theyve given out 100+ free ones, can anyone else see this isnt fair.

FREE KILLZ - the main one ( has given out over 300 free kills ) , openly advertises - EDIT4 - is now spamming the chat with mmmmmmmmm

Strategist - also a taker and is openly advertising he cheats
Free kills on join - the name is wrong but its similar to that

I wondered what they were doing, I noticed it going on too and took a look got myself a free kill :P but still this is blatently cheating, wtf is the point in me playing hours on end to get into the rankings when some little fuck can rack up the same amount in a couple of hours. May I suggest a cheater report forum or some none team member mods to keep check on the game. I'm sure there are a few people on each server who are active and qualified enough to do this. Just a thought.

btw, free killz is back and now its glaven using him, i jumped free killz and tried to reason with him - he refuses to stop boosting his friends.

Ok, what I was trying to say is, he isn't the only one who does this. Yesterday I saw a gold cheating in this way in the middle of the night, and I've played people who couldn't possibly be as good as their records would make it seem.

Does that not reinforce the need for server mods? These could be people from many time zones so there is no 'middle of the night' so to speak in which a cheater could lurk, and with a few mods on each server they could be kept practically cheater free 24/7 (well at least the cheaters which are easily noticeable).

I think there's definitely a better way to fix this than server mods. Why not just change the ranking system? Like Yahoo! Games has, or other online games. You know, where you start with 1200 points, and whenever you beat someone you get points, and whenever you lose you lose points, and the points gained or lost depend on the points of your opponent.

With this implemented, cheaters couldn't get very far, since once they got higher they wouldn't be able to get points from someone who's been losing constantly.

That sounds like a decent idea, perhaps a slightly more complex sign up form too, I know it's not much but just getting a valid email address and some personal info would be enough to put some people off. There are now 4 people giving free kills on Banff I really don't see me hanging about if something can not be done about them to limit there damage to the rankings and game atmosphere.

There is a middle of the night. At 1-2 EST there are maybe 5-10 people in the lobby at any one time, and about 25 people playing. I'd suspect later there are even fewer.

still not the middle of the night on a global community, there will always be someone one at their peak time, a well chosen mod or 2 from each major area would work fine. Plus what are you really bothered about the fact that there is a quite time in the servers or the fact that the rankings now mean shit.

Because the server is quiet does not mean it will create cheating, I think a gold only server would be nice, but then again I'd miss out on playing mates who aren't into the game enough to pay.

I admit that the cheaters are annoying, but just email seed or bills about the problem, and continue playing like you always did. Any one who plays these guys will know their ratings dont mean jack shit.

Please don't tell me why I paid, a very great part of the reason for paying was to get into the rankings I do like the game but I don't play this game purely for fun, I would not sit and play it against AI. Basically I want my name high up on that board badly :D.

This is what ive been saying about the rankings for awhile now.... they are pointless!

I have like 60 something losses, and only about 30 wins... I dont really care, most of the losses are from bailing out of games when a grey jumped me.
The rankings dont mean anything as they currently stand, and even if they fix them up a bit they will still not be an accurate judge of the best players.

Tournaments would be a much better way of determining the more advanced players.

If your playing just to get on the rankings, you must have some kind of ego disorder... So just play the game guys, if your good, know that your good... you dont need a website declaring it to everyone.

dont be sitting in a square if your not willing to play anyone who clicks beside you.

this isnt about n00bs flying up the rankings, its about people blatanly abusing the game system for fun, under no circumstance should their be people spamming adds to help people cheat, oh and incase you hadnt noticed ,stat staying is part of what you pay for in a gold account - things like this make the bulletin point for the gold advert pointless 'Gold Account holders stats (wins/losses/draws) will be recorded and saved. Non-members accounts/stats are reset monthly ,
a LOT of people went gold just to avoid the stat reset their and for nothing it seems.
