I've had an epiphany! I was thinking why the rankings havent been updated in over a month, and I've come to the conclusion that DR was an absolute genius. Actually genius would be putting it mildly, DR was the Einstein of the 21st century. I mean think about it, he had the rankings updated several times a month. And we know that if it was as easy as just pushing a button or inputting a simple command then Bills would have surely done that right? I mean, updating the rankings has got to be the most complicated sequence known to man, and DR was the ONLY person able to do such a feat in so quick a time. I'm sure Bills is slaving away, spending countless man-hours working on figuring out such a complex and intricate task as this.

DR = not working on general site improvements, or backend forum stuff = lots of time on hands to go through the rankings MANUELLY (he stated it was manuel several times, like when the rankings went a whole month without being updated, yeah, it has happened before guys)

bills = new site design, back end forum work, ppl revolting and saying he is an ass = no spare time on hands

Drakon, he is a week late on the site update, which he said he was working full time on, so that he couldn't help us out with anything we need. He didn't even have an extra 2 minutes to open the CUT and Avatars...

it has been a week, but with all artists, they can find flaws in anything that they make so it may take longer than expected.

the servers are still up right? ppl can still chat in the forums right? there havent been any major crashes that have gone un-responded to have there?

lets see, you can still play, check, you can still talk with members of the community, check, and when something bad happens to the server, its back up within a couple of hours

that about covers all the reasons i play... you know how long its been since i've personally checked the rankings page? probably not since i left the first time... i realize lots of ppl play strictly for ranking, but i tend to think lots of ppl play for fun, but maybe thats just me

yeah i understand, bills is _slightly_ (note sarcasm) late on the new site, but oh well, it will get here when it gets here, untill then, there is really nothing else we can do except piss him off or gripe to his PM box and email so much that things take even longer

Yep. Rankings aren't the be-all and end-all of this site, are they? I can personally put up with the rankings being a month old if it's going to result in even a few of the things Bills has said will come.

And things almost always run late. That's why a good PR person always ups the estimate of when the work will be done by at least 3 days. I mean, think of all the time Captain Picard asked Georgi how long it would take to repair the warp-core manifolds, Geordi said 24 hours, and Picard gave him 18? The Enterprise never blew up 19 hours later, did she? :)
