Went into ZA tonight with guild and nicely did full clear got two chests just because it's easier now with the NERF from Patch.

Seal of corruption stacked x5.
Seal of command with the glyph of command.
Seal of corruption again when it runs out.
Seal of command.

30 you get your 75 riding skill, not epic, you get epic at 60, and you can fly at 70.

It's dead funny lately. Before my serv Daggerspine was proper shit (still is but anyway). You'd struggle to Pug Maggy or Gruul with a decent group to clear it. Now there's one going everyday almost and people are pugging and downing SSC/TK.

Weird what one boss nerf patch does.

On my Holyadin healed Void Reaver and Vashj but lost out with noobie rolls on T5 helm and shoulders =[ QQ major.

Only thing I'm doing now is building Retadin gear to level with.

Well as soon as i hearthed in I get disconnected and now i can't for the life of me log back in, everytime i try, i get a 200+ queue, and when i click enter realm, my character spawns, all the other players and the npcs aren't moving and if i try to talk to anyone i get d/c.

Anyone know what's up? My guess is that the combination of zombie lag + server lag + my fairly bad connection = too laggy to play...

Once you hit like 40 or 50 something just grind instances really that easy. Even more so if you can get a 70 to run you x4 exp is pretty epic when your alt is on fallow in BRD being lead by a 70 buddy of yours while you raid on your main. Leveling couldn't be easyer

I rerolled with my fiance to be with a few old mates from an old realm on alliance, 70 retadin and 70 mage/warrior, they've said they'll boost us so inc huge xp.
Plus we made quite an awesome 2v2 combo, warrior + priest.

Before you give up on Ret flat out for your new Alt, I'd like to go over seals one last time with you. Glyph or not I still think that Corruption or Blood are going to do more DPS, simply because there is getting to be much faster 2h weapons meaning much faster attack speeds. And seeing where Command is based on a proc-per-minute (or so I last read) wouldn't something like Blood and a REAL slow 2h be much more consistent DPS. Especially with the integrations of a 2nd instant attack. I'd think high top-end damage on a slow weapon would be ideal?

Actually, the faster the weapon (haste effects) and blood/martyr (ally name for it) are the highest dps output for a retadin. Geared or not. I found, with Jin'rohk (base 3.55 with the equip haste) and WF totem + ret aura with 3% haste talent taking it down to 2.96 speed, blood gave me 300+ dps extra over command. I averaged in SSC 1.3k sustained dps with command, but with blood I averaged 1.6-1.7k sustained. So, provided you have haste, command glyph or not, you WILL do more sustained dps and overall more damage with blood. In other words, if you're buffed/geared with haste as Ret, blood is the way to go, but if you are not, command is better for sustained. Hope that clears some things up for you.

its extremely awsome. the Xp from mobs is crazy, in your starting area you get to lvl 4 within 10mobs and 2 quests. .. and at later lvls, the Quest XP is just insaine.

Daggers - I just went through an instance a few days ago that had 20 more spellpower on its own than my *new* quest reward staff did, so I paired it up with a shitty off-hand and came out with a better bonus than my staff had. What level are you up to now? There's a good off-hand in SM graveyard, and a good dagger drop in SM library that you should look to put together if you're around level 30.

...but no, I don't ever physically attack with my dagger/staff unless I'm dicking around, and I only wand if I'm being lazy as shat. And that's PVE. So no. Not pvp.

Heres another good one. my guild still isn't 100% sure what they want to do with me, so I ask you this: do you think prot will be a viable leveling spec for a pally? Even though you'd guess that a DPS spec would be best.. I mean I repseced prot for the first time since the patch LOVED IT. Ran heroics all day and pretty much out DPSed most of the pug groups (no they where not all badies) so I got to wondering...

Also on the topic of Prot: Spell damage weapon, or classic warrior protection weapon to increase AP for Hammer of the Righteous?

Hmm, difficult one. Prot is very good at solo'ing now and multi mob bashing, but, here is the dilemma... So is retri.
So, the answer I give you is an undecided one. I'd say retri purely cos of the fact of less down time due to mana problems as prot still, so either way if you take 3 mobs as ret for example, and 10 as prot. You will kill those 10 mobs faster as ret with less downtime than you would as prot.
Also, for the weapon, go for a warrior weapon and put +43 spell power on it (major healing pre patch). That way you can still have spell damage and maintain a high level of TPS with hammer of the righteous aswell with the extra damage the AP will give you.
Give or take that sounds about right to me, prot or ret for 70-80 leveling is mainly down to personal preference really, but if you prefer less downtime and faster kills, ret is the way to go.

Hmm, yeah I did exagerate in "forever". It just seems forever to me. So I quit probably 5ish or 6ish months back. But yeah WoW has been out longer then 3 years, pretty close to 4 now actually. And by "CBT" I was referring to Warhammer's Closed Beta. Sorry for the misunderstanding ;)

Hmm, difficult one. Prot is very good at solo'ing now and multi mob bashing, but, here is the dilemma... So is retri.
So, the answer I give you is an undecided one. I'd say retri purely cos of the fact of less down time due to mana problems as prot still, so either way if you take 3 mobs as ret for example, and 10 as prot. You will kill those 10 mobs faster as ret with less downtime than you would as prot.
Also, for the weapon, go for a warrior weapon and put +43 spell power on it (major healing pre patch). That way you can still have spell damage and maintain a high level of TPS with hammer of the righteous aswell with the extra damage the AP will give you.
Give or take that sounds about right to me, prot or ret for 70-80 leveling is mainly down to personal preference really, but if you prefer less downtime and faster kills, ret is the way to go.

This Shield of the Righteous makes me want to debate you here... I think I'd much rather stack as much AP and Stam over SP because of the new "Pally shield slam" and the Hammer of the Righteous. ALL pally tank abilities are more or less basing off of AP now. I say potency (20 str) over 43 SP

I think I'll level prot. Also, have you not checked out the crazy ass mana regen if you run seal of wisdom AND use judgment of wisdom? + Sanctuary now give +2% mana back for each perry/dodge/block (meaning the more you pull basically the more you re-gen) I'd almost say Prot with 5+ mobs would out Mp5 any ret pally...

Plus if you want to do an instance for a drop you can get groups better (or at least on my low pop server)

I've actually decided to go Prot simply because when I pick up my xpack next week and ding a few levels I should be pumping out a significant amount of DPS by bashing numerous people simultaneously, while maintaining a VERY high serviabilty. Plus I can get groups easy for instances /1 Tank LFG ____

post 3.0.3 DL, and pre-raid-respec to holy I was sill hitting significantly harder then pre 3.0.2 and my overall DPS may have only dropped a hundred or few. We can still burst, as well as heal. the only noticeable change (though very minor) is the slightly slower/lower mana regen. However its still very manageable for grinding. We are simply not overpowered any more, we are still more then viable.

I use Quartz for my cast bar as well as my focus's and my targets, though my spells show up in both of my character frames, I just like the shiny movement.

A lot of stuff appears when I'm actually in combat, so it gets a bit more cluttered.

Also I AM KEYBOUND FOR ALMOST EVERYTHING BUT I DIDN'T BIND BLOODLUST SORRY MY BAD.

I'd show an example of in-combat, but uh, THE SERVERS ARE STILL DOWN.

Actually I don't believe i've posted recently about wow, this is my char on Echo Isles, I specced PVP Survival since the last patch, it is really fun. And with the recent upgrade to Aspect of the Monkey I have 30.00% dodge with just that aspect. Not only that, I have the glyph that makes it so when I dodge, I gain a speed increase everytime I dodge an attack ;-D.

I'm not basing my spec on the agility aspect, its for the actual survival part in arenas. My traps do nothing but own, and now with the recent change in disengage (http://www.wowwiki.com/Disengage), I can back away from any rogue or warrior very quick. I know it looks horribly nubby, but it actually plays out rather well.

As for my Paladin, he's just for fun. Sure his gear is crap but the build is very fun. Its shockadin based, but at that i can easily heal myself when i need to. The prot part of my spec gives me reckoning (extremely fun in pvp), imp Hammer of Justice, and toughness.

The specs I make shouldn't work, but they do when you play them right.

You have to have both vials for ANY of the rings :p

We got level 79s over on Aggramar and a few DKs nearly on 75 already.
There is a frenchy who got 70-80 in 27 hours. The first level 70 DK in the world was on Ravenholdt EU, the realm where my new nelf warrior is :p

I'm glad the expansion came out, so I can go back to Affliction now. Demo is rather dull after you get over the shock and awe of metamorphosis, and destro actually looks a lot more interesting than it used to. (my spec is better than yours, dan)

I also just finished getting all my addons dealt with and my new interface set-up. It's much more traditional than what I've seen posted, but it's not optimal to me so it'll eventually change. I really just want like one more bar thrown on top of the normal action bar area that goes as long as the exp bar.

It seems as if they were all in an instance together yet only one person got experience, so I don't see how this would work unless they only killed things for 60 seconds after disbanding and ran out, back in, which they didn't do because he said they did full 12-minute runs. Sooo...?

i quit WoW because my grades were going down. had 4 lvl 70s and quitted right before Wotlk. Wotlk is the death of wow. i got to test the beta. its not the best thing ever. i got bored within 20 minutes.

It's unfair?

I suppose on some demented level that being punished for abusing the game mechanics later rather than sooner is unfair, but either way you're still being punished for doing something you knew you weren't supposed to do.


and to spirit...read the penny arcade comic about WoTLK, that about sums it up. Bountiful new areas, new npc races, new class...and the walrus guy wants you to go kill some mob and bring him back steaks or some other BS.

Death of WoW? Hardly, but the ultimate admittance that they just don't want to bring anything different to the table. If you've been playing for years, there's probably a lot more interesting things you could play instead.
