Well this is because you're a HUNTER. Hunters tend to dominate BGs, regardless of race. However, other races are better at it then a BE. For example, how often do you use you're Racial in the battlegrounds? No where near as much as you might if you were a troll, orc, or tauren.
if you don't get the other part about my rant over BEs ignore it.
Actually, i use my Racial alot o.O. Silence is always great and i use it when i am out of water.

I didn't view the trailer. Just watched it and I'm kinda suprised, in most games Death Knights were Warlocky
Anyway the funny part was, friday before we got to play, my friend and I were discussing what would happen if Blizzard made another addition past BC.
Actually, i use my Racial alot o.O. Silence is always great and i use it when i am out of water.
I've now had it used on me several times, and I really don't notice the effect.

Eh, the northrend and arthas expansion has been long coming and pretty much expected.
I'm still waiting for the emerald dream expansion.
And don't be TOO surprised, Warcraft lore has always pitted the death knight as a fallen paladin.

Just tossing this out, as I've been reading and remembering more, Blizz is very willing to sacrafice lore for crowd appeal.
Meaning that I'd more likely expect them to make the death knight a class available by any race/class combo at a certain level (sub-80 I'm betting), instead of holding to a strict lore based scenario of fallen Paladins.
Disappointing in my mind, though I see their view on the whole thing.

Yeah, they don't really have many end game bosses left lore wise.
You pretty much have Queen Azshara, Kil'Jadin, and Sargeras.
And the mace is off Illidan, so yeah, it wins.

The only end instance naga boss that I can think of is Vashj.
And I meant directly from Warcraft Lore, though they still have The Nightmare as well as 3 more Old Gods.

I dunno, I played the original with a friend for a while, but I didn't like it much, didn't get into the storyline. I was more of an AoE guy and didn't like the original Warcraft. Still, I don't think that they should be butchering the original storylines and such, it's just wrong to do that with any game

Plus, leveling characters gets extremely boring to me, so I can't go more than a week without getting annoyed at it.

Spirit - I know how you feel, about lvl'ing. Most of the time it's so boring doing most quests on my own without my friends, I hate it. So I just have alot of fun going through instances. It's alot more fun. xD

Aye, I've gotten to the point where I login three nights a week to raid and a few hours here and there to get farming/dailies done.
It's great to be running 4/6 SSC and 1/4 TK and still have a life. :D If I wasn't raiding, I wouldn't be playing probably... it's those encounters that make the game fun to me.

its true i bought it in may 2005, but didnt realy like it... but when i left uni and only worked part time at the begging of january 06, thats when i got screwred over and lost all my liife

Beat me to it. Honestly, why give heroin addicts methadone? Honestly, just give them a one month subscription to WoW and they'll be addicted to this instead.
Anyway I've now met 7 paladins who think that being able to duel well means that you rock at DPS. One thought he could out DPS a mage.
Anyway I Gnomaging and I thought of a weird arcane/frost spec. It's more designed for AoE damage then anything else, and I'm debating between

It's an odd strategy, you cast blizzard on a group of enemies and hope for frostbite procs, then rush in and then go in and Arcane Power/ Arcane Explosion. I know PoM goes to waste here. I also thought of

Where you can use Flamestrike with PoM then rushing in and Ĉing up the place, so that PoM doesn't go to waste.
With either one you can also add a Frost Nova in there to help ensure that you get the crit chance bonus from shatter again

It's pretty much the same way with me... I bought WoW last Christmas because all of my friends play it and they got me into it... I played it for about 2 months and then I got bored with just leveling for hours at a time... My prepaid subscription eventually ran out and I just never got up the will to spend more money on it... I have played a little bit since then but now that I have my new computer that can play WoW like nothing I am starting to get back into it...

If I get a chance to play, I do, but I never go out of my way to play and ignore talking to friends or other important things.
I doubt I'll play until I can figure out a way to get my brother to buy me another game card without having to do anything.
When I do though, I'm definitely not going to play a druid anymore.

I did that when I first got it, yes.
What I meant was I didn't get addicted and stay totally addicted to it. I couldn't play for more than a few hours now without getting bored, while when I first got it I could find myself playing until the early morning or for long hours at a time.

Yes, troll priests do have a higher chance of stunning their attacker upon being hit, however undead have devouring plague,which is, well awesome, even though it's got a high mana cost. Though the reducing healing effects by 20% has got to by nice against pallys druids shaman and other priests.

Forgot to mention that. I'm guessing though berzerking is more with holy spells, considering the only shadow spells with casts are what, Vampiric touch and Mind blast. It's gotta be great for PvE healing, because the shortened heal time is gonna be very useful. Though WoTF is great in PvP

My problem is is that even when I reach level 70, my parents disturb me so often that I won't be able to do anything truly useful on a raid. I mean if I was healing, my parents call me and that means a wipe. If I'm a tank, the lack of me generating threat causes it to go for the squishies and causes a wipe. And finally, if I go DPS if I go AFK that causes less damage output, and since DPS classes are the most easily replaced, I get replaced in the group, and if not I still cause more trouble for my group as they must spend more time and mana on each enemy.

Quite true, hell I had a warrior Pre-BC, he's only 61 now because I can't stand playing him, they changed warrior dynamics far too much and has gimped me since I wasnt around the first few weeks of 2.0 to relrn2warrior. However as a healing class leader I have read up everything there is to know about pallies/shammy/drood healing, spoken with players, checked armories, played friends toons for a bit (oh yeah, it's fun having the available access to get on about 12 different 70's if you want. :p) and can quite comfortably say I know a solid bit about the dynamics of their healing classes. Although as said before I don't know what DPS is in any way, shape or form. :(

22 person queue, says one minute wait, one hour later the movie finally loaded, then promptly froze when I hit the fullscreen setup. Thus forcing me to hit reload and re-start the whole fun process.

my tankadin is up to 63 now, ive been slacking monumentally, partially (and ironically) due to having a full-time job over the summer before i return to uni. still, ive already bought her a load of tankadin stuff such as 6/8 of the furies cards, pattern for boots of the protector and a crystalforged sword.
ive also been writing a few articles on www.gameriot.com (user name is Viskahn), and been meaning to start making a pvp video, but thats something i just never can get round to doing.

lot more fun to kill rival horde druids as a moonkin for me, 62 druid I just changed to balance. Admittedly, I get 0 groups for instance though. Still, always fun to come out of stealth as a moonkin and nuke down some hordies for +5k in under 6 secs ;)

Speccing into multiple trees is generally even worse at low levels, you've either got to spend the 1g to untrain them (it goes up each time) or you're gonna level balance, or have a very bad spec

When you get to the higher bit with +dmg gear you can likely go Boomkin for leveling and make it decent. But considering how tedious it is to get to 58 already (the dead zone of no groupage, and just straight up grinding) you'd be best going feral.

4k gold to skill up JC (not counting what I've farmed mat wise, which was a LOT) to 370, and I've got maybe about 5k gold to spend on recipes. JC patterns are the most ridiculously priced out there, I'll pay 400 gold for just one amongst many rare gem patterns (360 skill, one amongst a dozen). Not to mention we don't even get most epic gem patterns until, oh say, Black Temple.
Don't forget you can't make much money at selling most of the gem cuts, and for some reason despite their extremely good quality few buy our rings/neck pieces. Tell yah, great tradeskill to have while leveling, lotta fun, but a pain at 70.

We have a steady supply of them on my server (Kil'Jaedan, Alliance side) and by and large aren't too competitive pricing wise. It doesn't surprise me though to see a shortage of them in most places, it's just such a pain in the ars skill at end game. The only guys I know who've got all the needed gem cuts out there are the large raid guild JC'ers (who have 100's of 70's sending them the pattern drops they find).
I can't think of any other trade 95% of the patterns from 340+ are all found as .1% chance world drops =/ So they sell for hundreds of gold, are incredibly rare, and aren't attainable by any other means. I've been scouring the AH for the +12 stam cut for about a month now, the only time I saw it someone was selling it for 800g buyout (which, as much as I want it, I'm not gonna pay for 1 damned pattern).
I've been considering joining up with a larger guild in need of a "guild JC" so I can have all the 70's send me patterns that drop while I give them free cuts.

1. There are a lot of people I've met with children in game. I may be wrong but having a child generally means you've had sex. Parthenogenesis (Essentially birth without sex, sometimes an ova mutates and..., ususally it's just a way of asexual reproduction, frequently the child is female) only occurs rarely in things other than plants and invertebrates. It can occur in sharks and Komodo dragons , but beyond that it is very very rare.

Dunno it's gonna make warlocks pretty weak in PvP between nerfing fear and nerfing DoTs. If they try to fear and use DD spells the fear is very likely to break and aff spells won't do much. I suppose you could attempt to kite by switching between succubus disorient and fear to get distance from them and nuke away. Actually that might work pretty well, Succubus seduction lasts 15 seconds, meaning diminishing returns on fear will cool down, then if you fear them twice you'de clear diminishing returns on seduction. Of course trinkets screw all this up.

It's a multiple target taunt. The only problem is you don't target the monster and taunt it. You target it's target and cast "Righteous Defense"
Macro for it:
/cast [target=targettarget] Righteous Defense
It's actually got a longer cooldown. 15 seconds vs 8 seconds (With talents, it's base is 10) again though, it can effect up to 3 times the targets

As an ex pally tank, gear is fine and the aggro holding is fine.
The only real issue is that Pally hp is slightly (but noticeably) lower than a War or druid tank, and aside from shield use we have very limited damage mitigation (dodge and parry rate are by far lowest between the 3 tank classes). This just means that we tend to be a lesser preferred tank, but still completely operational. Combinations of blessings and abilities actually make us more viable in some instances/raid bosses, but we're also less viable against caster based bosses (lotta aggro and mitigation comes from us being hit), and can occasionally have mana issues (which turn into aggro issues fast) when boss fights drag on too long.
I actually just turned down an offer to join our server's top raiding guild as their new pally tank. They want one for Hyjal and needed someone they (thought of) as competent. Too bad it'd take me a good month to get my pally geared up for tanking a big raid like that, not to mention just get him worked up through the raids, just not willing to grind that kind of time just because they want me to play him more and change specs. I'm perfectly content healing these days, I just wish I had the option of dealing SOME sort of damage without drastically altering my gear/spec.
Oh, and my pally's name is Alann, Draeni Pally on Kil'Jaedan. He's not too well setup, as I've kinda been neglecting him since I hit 70 with my hunter. Gonna get him some basic gear upgrades though so I can at least do heroics on him when I need a healer (his stam/int level is just a bit low atm for those).
EDIT: And to walrus, look for a combo of quest drops (most of the 5 man "epic" quests from Netherstorm or Shadowmoon drop some sort of really nice plate), Righteousness gear set (good basic tank gear), and PVP ornamental set rewards. That should round you out enough to get to start the big instances/raids. CoT reverred sword reward (continuim blade or some such) is also a good standard until you find something better in a nice epic color.
Takes some perseverance, but you'll get it. It's like that for all types of pally gear, it's out there, just gotta work for it. I remember I did about 25 SV runs to get the healing plate helm that drops there.

Shockadin is almost worthless, I went that route for a brief while before I started gearing pure healing, short of getting +800 spell damage it's just for PVE quest purposes. I've seen it used really successfully once, by a guy who managed to get +950 spell damage with a variety of epics, enchants, and mixing some cloth in there to boot. He could could some classes, but considering the effort vs damage effect, it was still a sad state.
The whole scheme of it is just pointless, a nuke you can use once ever 15 secs and tops out (with great int and +spell damage) at a 2k crit, and seal/judgment of righteousness (which is hardly worth mentioning).

He's got warrior gear. He's honestly just auto attacking and using seal of the crusader, judgment of the crusader, then just seal of righteousness. His main two stats are strength and stam, but then he splits his other enchants and such between intellect and agility. I'll admit his melee crit chance is pretty good, 20%, but his +spell power is 68 his mp5 bonus is 4. Even if he crits in melee it's only for 1650 against someone without any armor. Honestly I don't get why his Karazhan group lets him in, and it doesn't surprise me that they've never made it all the way through Karazhan.

Seal of crusader adds 3% crit to everyone in the raid.
They can add another buff.

war gear generally doesn't give it all on it's own though, you want +hit (3% as a human, +5% otherwise), LOTS of AP (+1500 is a minimum really for decent retadin), and then the crit on top of it. AP is generally considered the top priority when forced to decide between it all though, imo.
Generally, you need a good balance of AP and Crit, with 25%/+1500 as the basics (without buffs) to really hold your own. And Arena's are just the fastest way to Ret gear, but not the best (plus you need a decent arena team to not spend months working at it).

Very similar to my friend's spec, but take the points out of improved blessing of might, and put 2 in guardian's favour 1 in blessing of kings and instead of improved devotion he's got redoubt (It's really stupid at least he gets some bonus some of the time from devotion...)

I'd always recommend the points restacked in Ret to 5 more in Holy for th +5% int bonus. Always nice to have a more mana as opposed to +2/3% damage. Though I suppose in most Arena matches (if that's your retadin goal) don't go long enough to oom.

If I'm right or wrong, let me know because I think this is stupid. My paladin hit 42 the y'day, and I got into a group for Uldaman.
There was me (protec spec), another pala who was protec aswell, a shadow priest, rogue and warrior.
So we get into the instance properly, and the priest asks "who's healer"? The other paladin that was there had like 5k armor so just a tad more than me. So the priest says "Right, pala with most armor tank and other pala heal us when needed, ok"? I had an argument with the priest and just hearthstoned outta there.
The whole argument was over why should I heal over the priest? He's got like 2k more mana than me, and I run out of it quickly. I couldn't care if shadow spec could do some decent dps, why AM I HEALING OVER A PRIEST?! Bah, fags. -.-

Yea I was trying to get a group for SM GY. I got into one that then had a Warrior 36, rogue 32, Me (Shadow priest 30) and another rogue, 35. I pointed out that we might want to get a true healer, and one of higher level, a holy priest a resto druid, holy pally or if need be resto shaman, and if we can't get one in 15 minutes I'd heal. 30 seconds later the guy grabs a hunter.

I healed and tanked as a prot spec pally through every instance up to 60. There is no such thing as healing gear for a pally pre-Outlands, it's all basically the exact same gear for every spec.
It sounded like a lousy group anyways woodland, 2 tank specs, another plate, and a priest who didn't want to heal.

I took a warrior, moderately well geared for it's level 750 health, and was in the 10-19.
I soloed all 6 of the members that were on successfully.
However, I didn't get any soloes. The hunter always tipped the scales in their favour, and would always save someone like last second by concussive shotting you, getting an improved concussive shot, and then they crawled away to bandage up. I died like 23 times because they were in our GY

I really do love druids when it comes down to it, the ultimate class imo. So glad I played that first before anything.
Complete viability in whatever they want, casting dps, healing, melee....they've got it all. Too bad a lot of guilds out there still don't recognize the balance tree's benefits, even if resto and feral are welcomed overall.
Feral tends to be the default for leveling, and it is pretty fun to shift as the situation calls for it. I've actually recently re-picked up my very first char (druid) and switched him over to balance to grind to 70, having a lot of fun at that as well.
I really do love druids when it comes down to it, the ultimate class imo. So glad I played that first before anything.

i had a pretty epic arena match on my druid the other day against a frost mage.
my rogue partner died, with their rogue on about 10%. i finished him off and was left against the frost mage, but was totally oom. i kited him around for about 10 minutes with travelform, until eventually i got innervate back. then i waited til he had used up all his CDs (elemental, iceblock cold snap) and gradually wore him down with moonfire and insect swarm (my druid is 40/0/21)
it was such a good fight i even rerolled onto his server to chat with him, he was quite a decent guy :P

No spec is pointless, if you're one of the idiots in the game who likes to call anything (keeping in mind that you're playing a game in the first place) then perhaps you need to re-examine the reason you're playing a game.

heh, when the bc came out I was the first Draeni (of any clas) to hit 40 on my realm before exhaustion took it's toll and I started to fall behind

apparently there making 1-60 easier, so new players can enjoy TBC content rather than spend 6 months lvling up,
so you could still lvl up with little effort

Lol I there's some noob on my server who keeps going WTS Gorehowl (+35 agility) enchant trying to show it off. He thinks people envy him and are jealous of him, when the truth is everyone thinks he's a noob. It's hilarious. I tried explaining it to him but he was in denial...

It's a proposed concept, not yet announced. Personally, I'd rather they make new content for 1-60 rather than make me grind my 9'th char through, yet again, the exact same stuff I've done 8 times before.

My druid has mad healz skills. Not really, I don't have any mana pool, which sucks. I shoulda gotten the gear before respeccing. Still I can beat most classes in a 1 vs. 1 and there's no contest in a 2 vs. 2. Against hunters warriors and locks it's mostly about who gets the first hit in. A lot of locks keep trying to put curses on me. I end up dispelling curse of agony about 7 times in a battle against a lock. Shaman are easy. Especially purge happy ones. Most will just do the initial purge, and I can still keep HoTs up on me. The ones that purge Rejuvenation I just keep casting rank one on myself so they waste their mana purging

20 is when druid leveling gets a lot faster. I don't find it that boring, personally. But Kyir agrees with you.

shamans that let you get to a point were you can heal, obviously cant play shaman.. the later purge part is n/a to a good shaman :)
Also, if you're hitting them, Water Shield restores enough for a purge, with decent mp5 you get a free one ever few seconds.

My Rogue owns basically everything within 3 levels not counting twinks.
If I'm facing a class that has no skills to see a stealthed enemy, I stealth, and use cheap shot, followed by evasion, so for the first 20 seconds or so of the fight, I don't get hit, and I usually have them dead by them. If they have alot of stamina/health, and don't die in that time, I use vanish, cheap shot again, then when cheap shot is up, I use riposte so they are unarmed, followed by an eviscerate that does around 800 on a crit.

There's nothing anyone can do about it, I use vanish followed by cheap shot instantly, I don't give them time to stop it. The vanish basically gives you like a 3 second invulnerability if you time it right, and then if I use cheap shot right away they can do nothing.

As I said, having played for a long while (and I do have a +60 rogue, so it's not like they're a mystery to me), I think you're playing a lot of pvp rookies. There's a LOT of things most of the classes can do to get out of that, stuns are far from infallable (blink, bubble, trinkets, and a variety of other talents and abilities come to mind just off the top of my head). If you're under the mistaken impression that a cheap shot opener is something that's so unstoppable, you obviously are playing against rookies.
Will agree with you a twinked rogue is the best for th 19 bracket. But beyond that, twink fights and lowbie bg's are basically not worth the interest. Hardly fun to play at that level in pvp as you don't have more than half your abilities for most of the classes.

Honestly, I had a resto drood vs. Pally ( I know not ret and not holy, so I'm assuming prot. Didn't have Seal of Command and didn't have uninterruptable heals, so probably prot, still could be holy though) It ended up me getting tired of the battle and running towards Stables.

if it still exists.. get the "got wood" addon
timer for totems, its lightweight and easy to setup and move
and maybe if you make it past 30.. "shaman friend" counts WF hits, purges and when your no buffed

I've never bothered picking up the latest decursive setups, ever since it was originally removed and people have been "expanding" on it. Just wasn't worth the effort anymore, the original was a marvel because it was so straightforward.

I got bored and calculated something...
2 sub rogues in the 2 vs. 2 arena; both Sub specced. Dagger (Obvoiusly). Fully specced out for + Ambush damage. So they sap the spare, and Ambush - Vanish - Ambush - (Ability that drops cooldown on ambush) - Vanish - Ambush. If very well geared that will do roughly 10k damage; for every crit damage goes up 1800; Yea it's reducable by armor and such but

against a good player, they wont have time to vannish and ambush again, most players would use a cc, or the sapped player would use a trinket
in theory you could get enough damage to to kill someone, but why waste 2 vannish's and prepertation.
