Due to being fairly bored with FPS, I'm moving my Gold Jumping to Legends partly. Here is my first win there. It was a very close fight, but when all was said and done I ended up with more units. :)

Ehh Legs golds are more easy, since they can't risk much with the one scout like some would with 2 scouts.
But I find it more fun there then in FPS to play golds. :)

Also, this win does not look like much but it was a decent grey vs gold win on someone well known in these forums. They used a dragon/frost/3 knight anti. It was on Legends and I used a 4 witch rush, but still a decent win nonetheless. I wont say who it is but.

He really was high I think, as he missed stoning the right units to start, set up an assassin bomb that took out his full health DT and his furgy, and didn't mud to kill both my witches when he could have. How do you other greys go about fighting opp gold turts? It always seems like their game to lose, rather than my game to win.

I did that mostly, but about 10 times during the game I alt tabbed to my Firefox window with AIM. I had to cut out those sections with Windows movie maker and splice it together, and then use WMP to speed it up (this probably could have been accomplished in a different way, ill finish the tutorial there). I got my bad luck for a week out in this game. :) I literally had 4 blocks all game, 1 of which was a knight front. He side hit my assassin 3 times in a row for the kill, side hit my knight twice in a row for the kill, side hit my scout right before my last move for the kill, hit my witch twice in a row for the kill, and hit my other knight 3 out of 4 times. But he was bad. So...:)

Legends win. My 2 Witch grey turt vs. his 2 Frost/Furgon form, opp sides. Got his mud early, and his furgon use actually made me feel more comfortable. It cut off his reinforcements and allowed my witches to sack his mud, scout, and knight. He got mad at the end because my witches got 2 front blocks. Not that it would have mattered, especially at that point in the game.

I'm pretty proud of this one. :) DSM with 2 Pyros. Got a Pyro off the bat, then sacked my scout for his wisp. Came down to blocking, his 4 hp Knight and 20 hp Dragon vs. my 28 hp knight. I got the blocks I needed and won.

As you all might know, gold jumpers on great lakes was once a force to be reckoned with. It first began on Banff, and progressed to the other servers. Most of the members of the Gold Jumpers have left, or are not on as they were in the past. My main man Cephas left, and left a few members in charge. Bane is the main leader, but due to unknown circumstances he hasnt been seen for quite some time. Same goes for many other members. I wanted to make a thread on this in the great lakes forum to ask the people of great lakes to keep Gold Jumpers alive and well. We need skilled players. Gold Jumpers have to be at the top of all greys. They must have experience on fighting golds, and as well as a good attitude. Only very, very few will be let in. I know some of the best players of great lakes, would gladly join up with us. As for the greys out there, just because the golds got a few upgraded units, doesnt mean shit. The greys of gold jumpers were majorly feared, and few are at present. I want to bring that fear back into the heart of golds. Make them remember greys have power as well.

Personally I find that two DMW's are a bad part for a set, unless you have to clerics.
A pyro and a witch is much better in my opinion, because the pyro is more likely to block, and with a pyro blast, knight hit, you got an assassin bomb.

Ok. My original intent in founding the Gold Jumpers was to keep those who were boosting honest. Selah (also known as Lord Ducki) and I (also known as Squiggly, went to work jumping any gold we could get. Ducki was much more aggressive than I was, but we worked at beating golds and, I must say, were pretty good at it. If you want some entertaining reading, look up the Gold Jumpers thread on Banff.

Anyways, the intent was keeping golds honest in their stats since at the time, many were boosting and jumping noobs to get one or two stat points. In that vein, I guess having gold units is ok but definitely not as impressive as a dropless grey, or just a grey with grey units. With gold units, you're just a miscolored gold.

As far as I can see, Gold Jumpers has just become a bragging club of "I beat a gold" instead of the 'righteous' mission I made it for. It's cool for the evolution, and in return, it still does it's original purpose of keeping golds honest, but I was never one for humiliating every gold, just those who were the boosters, the jumpers and the cheaters. After all, golds are the reason Seed made the game in the first place -- it's a paycheck.

In all reality, I prefer playing golds because they know how to play for the most part and it is more of a challenge. If you want to play with gold units as a grey, more power to you but I wouldn't do it.

I like SIers in general, and he seemed like a nice guy. And I can still vividly remember trying to raise the stats on KL and going CRAZY when I would lose to a 750 grey that was blatantly not a 750 grey and drop like 30 stats, so I surrendered and let him keep them :p

I don't play much TAO anymore besides RGL and the Grandslams, but I jumped some gold on legends with my furgon/frost turtle:

He had a GA rush, with a mud, BR, and archer all aimed for my side lol. Some clever (screw modesty) moves by myself with the furg gave me the time to kill his GA relatively quickly while he advanced his mud, BR, and archer into 'better' positioning. He ran his mud right in allowing me to freeze it. He then focused solely on defocusing my frost.... which never works out right. He eventually put his archer in LW range to have a shot at the frost with a BR combo... Well that backfired as I used my scout to finish his scout off and then after go for his cleric. 1 unit loss FTW! he was 1360 at the time.

Edit: all of my units are full except for my 51 frost. His units are all full except for the knight closest to the top which has 33 (I hit a 20% :/), his mud is at 8.

This game happened on legends obviously. It was my dropless turt vs his same side single gold anti/turt with double clerics. I was fighting around with one of his knights for most of the game. He traded his scout for my witch even though I would of gotten the knight as well if it didn't block.
He was running after my knight and scout with his mud and dragon which ended up being a poor decision for him when he pulled his dragon up instead of knight and keeping the drag in it's original spot.
