FAQ section up for testers and contributions!

Hey guys the FAQ section is now up and ready for information population.

There are sections for player submitted reviews and stratics. If you have a particular strategy or attack you want to write about please draft it up. We will be adding player reviews on almost everything very shortly.

If your strategy is unique as in Bills Fugon Rush for example you will have name recognition as the creator of that particular style of Tao play.

If your write up is particularly good and includes things like screenshots, good grammar, nicely written ect… Trophy units at my discretion will be awarded to players.

I have an idea of what it should look like based off a great gaming site I’m sure many of you have been to,

That's cool. Could it be worked into the system to have a submit function? Then someone (mod or admin) can look through all the submissions and choose the good ones.

I hav a site that has a larger myriad of strategy, unit info, and such things devoted to it....

Should I just submit stuff individually there or put it to the website area instead?

I think people have ad enough time now, so what is needed now.

Warp all your stuff up nicely, send to theburning all your information, text, images ect... don't forget your user account name so you can get credit and then we will sort and post reviews as they come in.

Um.... I'm not sure if no one has noticed or just hasn't said anything, but what is "stratics"? I'm fairly certain that it is supposed to say "Strategy" but I could be wrong......

I find it unfortunate that no one turltes anymore. I could write a great strategy peice on turtleing but with my school schedule I just couldnt put in the time nessicary to make it good and check it to make sure all the grammer is correct. I am of a dying breed and eventually it will be time to pack up my bags and leave. Im not leaving yet but this is a warning. If any strategies are missing I could add a short peice on them if no one else is willing but it wont be award winning work.

I call the Frost Golem. Favorite unit, and I have learned to use it really well after Ach helped me out.

Question: Do we have to do it about an entire formation? or just do it on one unit?

Knights

Rushing Knights:
Knights are an exeptional melee unit as well as a great defender, commonly put in the front lines in most formations a Knight can be the Backbone of an entire set-up. While it may seem like a good idea to rely on Knights compleatly this is not a good idea, a Lightning Ward and another knight can easely defeat a lone knight. Possebly the best trait of a Knight is the low recovory time, with this 2 knights can attack a unit 1 on each turn whil the other is recovoring. Knights have the biggest advantage with long range attackers, with a Scout one Knight can easely take out a pyromancer.

Turteling Knights:
A Knight with a +30 Armor bounes from a stone golem is a scary thing indeed, with 55 armor not much can penetrate a Knights defence, so a Knight may rush past a Lightning Ward without takeing to much damage. An advised situation is healing right after a knight rushes past a LW resulting in a small amount a overall damage.

Bombing Knights:
A Knight with unblockable re-inforcements is a tough opponent, The Knight rushes through a formation attacking one unit then moving on, then The Dark Magic Witches, Pyromancers or Dragon speaker Mages(Preferably with a dragon) Take out the remaining life of a unit. There are only 2 flaws in this kind of set-up
1. Clerics, healing after the knight goes through makes your unblockable units easy pickings
2. Other Knights, a Knight(as noted above) has heavy blocking and armor making it hard ot hit with your knight, and hard to kill with unblockable damage.

Mud Golems

The mud golem is a farly powerful unit, favored by rushers the mud golem can teloport behing enemy lines and attack or use its devestaing "Mud Quake" to break up tightly packed formations. Most of these however are suicide runs seeing that the Mud Golem has no blocking or armor.

Mud Quake:
Activation: in the attack phase of the mud golem hold down on it with the mouse for 3 (or more) seconds thne release, this releases "Mud Quake"
Affect: every unit within 3 squares of the mud golem takes damage acording to how close the unit is to the golem, the closest take the most damage the farthest take the least, this is affected by armor.

Rushing:
Agenst Turtles:
The Mud golem is ideal for breaking up turtles, it simply teloports into the middle of the formation and mudquakes, breaking the focus of the Stone golem (and/or Barrier Wards, Frost golem, Enchantress) and making the player stone the units again (witch wastes their turn) or not stone leaving the stone golem as a open target that will do nothing
Agenst Bombs:
A bomb (as we know) is a set-up comtaining mostly un-blockable units in the front lines, seince most unblockable units have little blocking and no armor the mud golem can teloport in and mud quake dealing a fair amount of damage to all the units.

Turtling:
A Mud golem is just another way of disrupting units while they come twords your unit witch (as far as i know) the purpouse of the Turtle, then while the damaged units get to the main formation the bigger units finish it off.

Bombing:
See Rushing (exept with more unblockable units)

Go right ahead. In order for my chanty page to be perfect, I'd have to redo it with barrier use information, and my graphics card on this old computer isn't working right, so I can't make good screenshots.

As for the scout faq, I humbly request my site just be copied and modified as needed to fit the format, just please keep my clan's name attached to it somehow.

Seems to me that when Bills asked for help, asked for paying players of the site to help write the FAQ section, we were all ready to jump in and help him do his job. But he continually ignores requests, disappears forever, showing up only to insult those of us who have the balls to say something. I think the link Jeff provided will be used rather frequently if this continues. OS, i pmed you - would love to hear something back, ready to help however.

I've been counting and Bills has overshot every deadline he's set by at least one week. With the exception of the "press release" about the whole reason DR was removed. Which actually came early. He never set an actual deadline here, but I'm sure if he had, it would be before Jan. 10 2005. I'm also sure we would also like to read about Bills Fugon Rush (Referring back to the first post). Which is gramatically wrong in many ways.

Having your names credited is more than enough.

Giving one would make the trophy worthless and no longer represent what it does.
