View Full Version : Rivers End
Life: 40 (Ward)
Armor: 0
Blocking: 100%
Attack: 0
Recovory:0
Abilities: At the start of a game the Rivers End starts a river 3 squares wide with the middle square where it is, whenever a unit crosses the river it gets pushed one square to the side (in the direction of the current which always flows away from the Ward) for every space of water it crosses, it a unit ends its turn in water at the start of it’s owners turn its pushed 1 square down river. If a unit would be pushed off the edge it is reduced to 0 life. Wards cannot be moved. River’s End must be placed on an outside square of the field.

well. theres a new concept...intruiging, not sure if its something id wanna spend a unit slot on though, especially if i were gold
it can act as a defense
for example
2 golds are playing a game
1 of the gold has Rivers end faceing sideways at the front of his setup
the other gold moves a knight onto the river
the other gold the paralizes the knight with a frosty
the first gold cannot get within range to break foucus
the other gold BW's the frostie
bye bye knight
thats 1 of many startagies you could consivably use

seems a bit powerful too, especially with the units dieing if they fall off the edge. either remove that or the regular 7 dmg
even though the 7 is only whnew the river is first created?

Not bad, but it would be hard to take a unit out to add this in. Also, it could end up foiling your own plans.
thats the point, it could go eather way

One question. If you want to trod across it, and can make it all the way across in one move, will you still get carried over one? Or, do you have to stop in the water to get moved?
if you moved acroos in a stright line you ge tpushed one square for every square you crossed

Kyir, I think you did a good job with this unit. I only have one question and I am pretty sure I know the answer. The river extends each turn until reaching the other end of the board right? And if so how many squares does it flow each turn. However it works this unit is a gold in my book.
Kyir I am impressed this is an awesome unit 3 questions though
(1) How do u put rocks in the river, GA?
(2) What if I used my furgon to block the river?
(3) What if a lightning ward struck the water?

aye, this was before the Ga, or as I like t ocall them, the days better tan now...
I had imagined the rocks preset and only inside the water
When I made this I didnt really use the furgon so I didnt consider it... I guess the shrubs would remain but not block the water. And sence I didnt state otherwise hitting the water with a Lw dosnt do anytihng

Its a waste for golds and overly-complicated. Would not fit in TAO. Its just plain bad

I second that, you are a total idiot. Kyir, GREAT unit. I love it. One question would be does it take out shrubs or do shrubs block the flow? I think if they did it would balance it a little bit more, because of the fact that when they call off the edge, units die. Maybe not, just a thought. Awesome job
