Shaman's are not your typical mages...Unlike other spell-casters, they have the strength and dexterity to wear armor,
Shaman
HP:34
Armor:15 (0)- explained
Movement:3 (4)- explained
Blocking:28%(14%)
Recovery:3 turns
Attack:22, 19, 15, unblockable- explained
Range:3
Throws a big lightning ball at a target space and the makes chain lightning, going to the 2 spaces to the left and right of the original target space
Attack pattern: targeted space and then 2 spaces to the left and right of targeted space
O O O O O
O O O O O
O O S O O
Damge wise, it does 21 to the middle spot, 18 to the spot to the left and right of the middle, then 15 to the ends
Special--click and hold. The shaman will take off his armor...this will leave him with no armor but his movement will be boosted to 4, so this gives you a choice of what kind of mage you want, fast or armored...When you drop the armor, you end your turn, you cannot drop armor and use you attack the same turn.

original, though shaman isnt a good name for it. but not useful if it attacks the sides it means anything it hits can get a back attack on it, which is not what one looks for in a mage.
on a side note, grow up.

Not exactly the way I perceive the shaman, but an original unit for sure. Battle Mage might be a bit generic, but would give an impression closer to what I see here?
An interesting attack pattern.. though it leaves me wondering why a spellcaster could not point one arm to the side and one to the front (or, pictured facing towards a diagonal while attacking, then blasting to his front right and front left.) Certainly such a pattern would be more useful than a +/- 2 spaces along the same line or row. In other words,
[-][-][X][-][-]
[-][-][X][Y][-]
[-][-][S][X][X]
[-][-][-][-][-]
[-][-][-][-][-]
S=Shaman, Y=chosen space, X = spaces that get affected. Perhaps Y should too.
Can the fellow, after dropping his armor, repeat the feat and become slow and armored once more?

its as i said, think about it, if he attacks the 2 side squares he will be facing a "bad" direction.

Mages do need at least a range of three, like walrus said.
And for 19 damage it's not worth watching him (nearly inevitably) die.

DAMN IM GOOD!
Im expecting Walrus to bitch me out
Though i do agree with you on the attack pattern...pretty lame now that i think about it. hmmm...how about...
I got it....here is a edited version of the Shaman

On another side note, lets both grow up and drop this shit...Just because something is posted on the forums and it's in another game does not mean it was copied...I bet ya there are at least 30 games with a "confusion" affect (this is to my past unit post, the alchemist)

yea, the X X S X X attack pattern is messed up :p
after the edit it is still pretty good and original....now are you able to pick up the armor again?...or you could like, drop the armor on a space and whatever HUMAN unit lands on it (enemy or ally) gets 8 armor..but once a different unit picks it up, you wont be able to drop it again
hows that?

EVERY unit made is just like one of your units. People just don't listen to you. :)

One of the better mage units in a while, but I think that it's over powered. It would probally still be overpowered if it had only 4 movement. Many, if not most, formations have a row of knights in the front, and often sometimes inculde other units. You would almost certainly be able to attack three units the first turn, with a possibility of four units, and even five units wouldn't be that rare, dealing a massive ammount of damage. I'd say maybe change teh recovery to 4 if it attacks and moves, 3 if it attacks only, 1 if it moves only, and 2 if it takes off/puts on armor.

of course if you did read mine, you would gain an insight into how to create decent units, and stop churning out filth (you = all of you, not just sensai).
