More Payment options please

at the moment paypal is the only way to pay. i dont have a credit card so i cant sign up to paypal. other similar game have options to sign up over the phone or by Text. Would it be possible to in the near future to implement any of there alternate payment options.
i can guarentee that you will get at least one more person if you allow gold account signups over the phone ;)

while i realize that there are limitations to it, there are a good number of ways to transfer money via paypal without a credit card.

My experience is that a lot of the ppl here just are ignorant on these means and need to have them shown.

And there is only one other option to a credit card for Paypal, and thats a bank account. You need one or the other to activate the account.

So do I have to have my parents to connect my bank account to paypal or I can do it myself? I have 2 bank accounts, that is for college and other is just a saving account. Is it possible if I can make a paypal account, and take the money to the bank and have them put it in the account then send it to the paypal account to pay off the costs?

You would have to sign up for paypal, and sign your bank account up. At that point Paypal verifies it's your account by making 2 several penny deposits. You verify how much the deposits are, and your Paypal is set up.
At that point you transfer money from Bank to Paypal. This takes 3 days or so.
If your Paypal does not have enough money to cover what you owe, it automatically transfers the money.

I'm sure having a flat fee of 20$ (as seen in Legends) would definitely heighten the amount of new gold members here in the other 4 servers. Personally, I'd go gold myself if it was just 20$ - I don't mean to rip you guys off, but monthly fees are very easy to lose track of, and can seem annoying and expensive over time. The amount of new grey members that will upgrade will fix a supposed 'problem' with profit, as I am sure the staff sees a cheaper monthly fee as a better way to get money.

Funny. The number of upgrades on Legends doesn;t support the server and site costs. Part of that comes out of Seeds share of the monthlies here.

A flashcom server able to run TAO BEGINS at $350 a month and up. With the Flash Licensing and website, you need $500 a month to keep each server running. That means you need 100 new golds each and every month just to keep the game going, without salaries for staff, or costs of better servers.

A onetime payment will never be an option here. Be glad Bills has offered Lifetime Rev access as it is.

Yes, when it was still first going, and pretty beta, and before it was launched as a commercial site here. But as a fully functioning game it has always been $10. Just check his archives out.
