Guidelines for our beloved community:

Posting

Spamming the board will result in immediate ban of the board. Multiple posts on different topics is permitted, as long as you stay on topic of threads. If you feel you MUST spam...keep it to the TWS (Three Word Story) thread.

Definition of spamming: Spamming is repeated posts/threads that have no legit topic whatsoever. Making 1 spamming thread every now and again is allowed, as long as it isn't completely ridiculous.

You should also never have two consecutive posts! You can always edit your post to add comments. Double Posting to legitimate topics is allowed as long as it is not spamming. You will be warned via pm or post. Followed by locking/deletion of the thread.

Replying with ':) or LoL' type posts in large amounts is considered spamming! You will be issued a warning either through pm or post. Next offense will result in either posting priveledges taken away or a ban.

All topics should be in the correct section of the board. All off-topic threads will be moved to the correct section.

All topics and posts should be done within the forum's rules.

Any type of slanderous terms or racism. You will be warned for you first offence, your second offence will result in being banned!

No offensive, crude or adult related posts. This will result in deletion of topic/post followed by a warning. Next time is a ban.

No warez, porn, illegal or malicious links are allowed. This will result in an immediate ban and possibly deletion from the forums or an IP ban.

Do not flame or threaten other members. Flaming is putting down another member in any way shape or form. It's alright in the right situation and doing it as a joke. But, serious offenders will be warned via pm. Repeated offenders will be banned.

Do not necro multiple threads at once. This will result in a warning. Second offense will be a ban.

Any attempts at hacking, Ddos'ing, exploiting, and any other illegal activies directed towards the forums WILL result in an immediate IP ban, as well as notification of proper authorities.

Never share personal information such as: Phone number, Street Address, Passwords, and things of this nature. We are not responsible if you share any of your personal information.

Having the Caps Lock on while posting is considered screaming. Please refrain from abusing this. You will be warned. Next time posting priveledges get taken away.

Read ALL Stickies before posting in any section of the forum. Creating a thread without reading the stickies will result in locking of topic and a warning.

Use the search function before making a thread or asking questions. There may be a thread already created with the same topic your'e looking for.

Extremely large text is allowed if varied. Consistant use of large text over the course of your posting, will result in posting priveledges taken away for short amount of time. Repeated offenses will result in a warning.

Posting images is disabled. Therefore, you cannot post any. Only images allowed are in signatures (See below).

The maximum size of your avatar is 70 by 70 pixels or 19.5 KB (whichever is smaller).

Custom User Title:

Nothing offensive. This will lead to deletion of your Custom User Title. Repeated offenses will result in a banning.

Mods

Do not abuse your powers. Modship is a priveledge, not a right!

Explanation of a banning is in order. For future reference of offense, so it may not be repeated. Also, a list of banned members should be posted and updated at all times.

This section was here strictly for the admins to edit. But, I feel the first two should be part of it.

Punishments!

Any posted or PM warning to a player by a Mod is considered a first warning. Any repeated offenses after this time shall be considered a Bannable Offense. Bans are usually temporary, anywhere from 1-7 days, depending on the severity of the offense. Anyone who attempts to supercede their banning may be placed upon a much longer ban, even permanent if warrented.
Any player/member posting threats to players or staff will be banned immediately and permantly. If you have a problem with someone, take it to PM's.

Getting your posting priveledges taken away, lasts for a 24 hr period.

I believe this should be enough. If anyone would like to add to this, please feel free. I made this as a template, in case forum rules actually get posted.

It doesn't deal much with course of action. Well not indepth enough to be consistant. But as you say... Template.

Several small things.

Posting twice or more should be an ettiquete, not a rule. There are times where you are making completely seperate responses, from fifferent areas of a thread, and double post minutes (sometimes days) apart.
No large text- Again, ettiquette. If it is available for use, you should not ban for using it. I can see asking someone to not overuse it, but that should be a somewhat flexible standard.
Flaming- Banning for excessive flaming is appropriate. But defining what is a flame and what is not can be more difficult than you think. Every single person in this forum has flamed at times, whether out of jest, or even rarely, they do it. Defining which kind, and how much, is bannable is something Mods would need to discuss.
Flooding- Change to exxessive Spamming of the board, and give loose description of spam. Good posters can flood a board with content riddled posts in very short order. Spam should be defined as posts that are off-topic or contentless, and multiple threads for same purpose on one or more forums.
Modship- Public rules for mods should not be made. These should be in a Mod Guidelines in the Mod Only Forums. While Mods should be held responsible for their actions if excessive force is used, it is not the payers job to enforce this.

Punishments- Any posted or PM warning to a player by a Mod is considered a first warning.

To avoid confusion of who was banned and when and such, i would suggest a thread with names of supsended players, and for how long. Why and by who is not even needed, but informing players they have been banned is always best.

The current list of banned users is a good idea I think.
It will inform the members of who is banned and therefore if they see them on under a different name they will inform us.
Signing up under a new name can be a permanent banning offense.
If people think we can't figure it out we can run IP searches.
