That's excellent... except I think it might look good if there was a *little* color thrown in the middle of black and white... that contrast always appeals to me.

Probably, but I was just putting my name in for Led Zeppelin and what-not. That's why I threw in the red "rock on", I thought black and white alone was a little plain. It's still pretty simple though, the hardest part in making the banner was using photoshop to make it look like the writing I replaced wasn't obviously fake. :bigsmile:

I like this one, and, in an effort to get to 300 posts, I've decided to rate it.

I think this one is a 10, it's got excellent design and the movement is both smooth and attractive. Great job, now post 10 more so I can rate them all.

I agree Dove, with some work andalites banner could have potential.

If you'll bear with me, I have some artistic suggestions.

When deciding on a good color of backround for your image, it is often a good idea to take a look at a color wheel. In the case of your banner, the primary image has a lot of purple in it.

Now, I see that you put purple in the backround of your banner to match it, and that's good, but here's a better way to find a color; instead of picking a color for your backround that is close to the one in your image, pick one that is the direct opposite of it on the color wheel. For instance; the opposite of green is red, therefore they are complimentary colors.

So in your banner, you might want to try yellow text or backround as a compliment to your purple image. I did the same thing with a purple backround and yellow text in this banner: Banner Clicky! (http://img258.echo.cx/my.php?image=purplejimi2ml.jpg)

True, yellow and purple look excellent together... one of my favorite color combinations.

Something I think looks especially good is using very distinct colors. Sometimes it's good to not tamper with all sorts of shades and colors. Use a standard purple and a standard, bright yellow for your colors, and you've already got a great start.

Now, balance it out by making that text more noticable, make it stand out more for balance, and you've got yourself a good looking sig!
