Well, try using a light drop shadow, and some inner shadow. Atleast you're staying away from the heavy bevelle. and if you want to learn how to do mulitcolored sigs like mine. There's a tut for it at C-D.

Well, you used rule of thirds, which is good. The colors blend nicely from top to bottom, and work well with the colors of the figure. The text is readable, but not intrusive.
