the phoenix is a legendary creature that engulfs itself in flames every 500 years and is reborn from its ashes..... (dfg guess who i am) lol

hp: 42
armor: 10
movement: 4 (teleport)
attack range: 2
Atack: 15
recovery: 2

Special: every 5 of your turns, the Phoenix, no matter where it is on the board will burst into flames and ashes will appear in the square that it was on.... after 2 of your turns if it is not killed it will be reborn.

the reason this is, is so that it balances out the rebirth. instead of every time it dies its every 5 turns (anti-rush) and so players wont move it too far up as its 3 recovery doesnt give it all that much time to retreat back before it kills itself.

attack: sets 1 square on fire up to 2 squares away. this square will stay on fire for the whole game. Every OTHER turn you MUSt pick an adjacent tile to set ablaze (these will also stay on fire the whole game). the first turn you select a tile to burn, it will deal 15 damage, to any unit ally or enemy, who either wlks over it or stops in it. (armor applies) every turn after that if a unit walks over the flame or ends in a flame it will take 5 damage (no armor)

the ashes stats are: hp: 38
everthing else: N/A
**special** ashes cant be a target of melee units....try to hack ash and see what u get.....

ne ways thats my idea @(~~__~~)@

special : b/c the phoenix is made of fire..... it cannot be harmed by a pyro or dragon....etc however can be harmed by dark fire .... dark magic witch.... cannot be healed.... except for by fire attacks suchas pyro and dragon tyrant when attacked by a fire attack the damage is round in half then... if fractional rounded up and the phoenix is healed that amount of hp...

the phoenix targets a tile 2 squares away and sets the tile on fire... and the phoenix comes into focus... every turn u MUST pick an adjacent square to set ablaze... the squares that are on fire deal 8 unblockable damage to units regardless of armor and continues to burn until the phoenix breaks focus... when a fire user ENTERS the flamed square they are healed 5 hp and they can move anywhere within the flame at no movement cost flame users get a + 5 attack power bonus and ... fire users may not be attacked by other fire attacks while in the inferno and the opposing units may use it as well... dmw attacks can still hit

The whole 5 turn rebirth thing would bug me. And the tiles that are set on fire shouldnt stay that way through the whole game maybe just for 3 turns. And its whole healing process is kind of cheap, if the dragon where to attack it would heal it way much more than it should be just leave the healing to the cleric.

thats why i said it was ur guys' choice whether or not u like the 1st special or the 2nd the every 5 turns is to balance it.... i mean if it just was reborn every time it died it'd be invincible...........

and plus... then ur dragon is out for 2 turns

the idea is that since every 5 turns, it is killed, u r then playing with 9 units on the field for 3 turns, and since ppl will want to keep it back so it cant get killed when it is in its ash form, it will mainly be used as an anti rush, b/c u can make a "flame wall" around ur formy and stop muddies or pyros coming in...its an anti rush w/ rush capabilities

Ok, I'm bringing back this thread for my own purposes, and my own unit called the Phoenix.

The Phoenix is an ancient bird made of fire. Though usually peaceful and serene, the Phoenix will go into immediate action if threatened, unleashing the power of fire upon his enemy.

HP: 37
Attack: *see below*
Armor: 0
Movement: 7
Recovery Time: 2

Attack Pattern: Lands on any opposing unit and immediately takes 5 damage, and 5 damage on each subsequent term.

Special Abilities: Teleportation

Tactics: The Phoenix does not leave its prey unless fired on. Unfortunately, the Phoenix is so difficult to hit that your opponent must hit the unit it is on top of to get it off. Because of this difficulty, damage will be cut in half, half being done to the unit, half done to the Phoenix.

Anyways, I think this would be a good idea. It's not necessarily or entirely original... it's basically a beefed up Wisp. The balancer here is that the Wisp can effect up to 8 tiles. The Phoenix can only effect 1. However, many times that I've used my Wisp it's been just for taking one unit that's separated from the crowd. That's where the Phoenix comes in. While it lacks the ability to affect multiple targets, it's powerful enough to be useful when just attacking one. The unit may still move and attack while bearing the Phoenix, but I think blocking may be reduced to 75% of the original (80% would be 60%, etc.).

Just make your own thread, then I'll look at it.
