hmm i have noticed that not many people who are in the clan post very much in the forums.. I haven't seem many of you around recently either ;-( may i ask who here is still playing/into this, i am, but just want to see some of the clan around as well ;-) I know you are all good fighters, and would like to battle some more of you and hang out with clan members. The Clan system is finally in place, but I haven't seen almost any of you on =/ I understand that less people are playing because of the holidays tho. Ok, we definitely need a bump. We're halfway down the clan listings already...maybe more. On another note, my recruitment efforts, confined as they are to a few choice players, have been crashing and burning. The other leaders are much more agressive than me. We're aiming for a core group though, right? Clan philosophy - a tightly knit group of enthusiastic golds, etc... correct me if I'm wrong.

I know you're all on great lakes, but create a grey account on armageddon and talk to me there, I'll send you an invite. It'll be nice having people to talk to, instead of watching everyone else go on mad recruiting rampages.

Scratch that "tightly knit"... I just read Hashish's post and he says the same thing. But with a hyphen. I'm not going to deceive myself and say that the hyphen makes it completely different, and I meant to put a hyphen only it looked a bit weird coming right after the dash. So much for my ramblings. Instead, we can say...um...i don't know. I really did think about that one too. For a while. Really. (No, really, I'm not joking. Pretty sad.)

What I've been trying to do, regardless of wording, is get pretty good golds who i like as people. aka NOT bradley wright 890, who just spammed the chat window for about 5 minutes, maybe more. This was because he was upset about getting kicked from his clan, and you wonder why that happened:rolleyes:

you type /c [message] to talk to everyone in your clan. It won't work until Drunken invites you though, and once he does it'll tell you how. Just hit /help. Now, where Drunken is happens to be another matter... I hear he was on yesterday but he's not getting on much. Just be patient, and he will appear.

Drunken - why don't you specify a time for all of us to be on so you can get us in? Sometime tomorrow would be good, I guess.

I'm sorry I wasn't here last night... my brother was, he created a clan called The Elite. no one is in it yet, and I have no clue wut to do, because if I leave then its a dead clan. and I agree with vash that I dont like kotr. my brother does have some sence though I hardly see dragon. If I get 4 people in my clan I'll pass the leader position on. but till then I'll stay allied and still be in "semi-in".

Alright DD04. I think we lost Zdawg. Definitely Fatb0y. I think the story with Resurg is that he doesnt want to leave, although hes not happy about the lack of clan-ness, and once his brother's clan gets established he'll come back. I'm not sure about that though. Some of us seem to be going with The Elite (Resurgent's clan, I believe), but they just treat it as a temporary clan until Drunken gets back from vacation or wherever he is. I don't know of anything else. Oh yeah... and for any of you crossing your fingers for me in regards to my Armageddon recruiting, it doesn't seem to be helping. So don't bother. I can't seem to get a single person, although I did run into a couple of very talented greys who are thinking about going gold. They seem to be the kind of people we would want in our clan. Oh yeah...and if anyone sees Drunken online ask what the hell is going on and tell him to post here right away. At the very least, get him to transfer leadership to you for the time being, assuming he's still busy. We can't lose anyone else.

Ok, to all of you, especially Warcow - This is ridiculous. We're not "in the shadows" or anything of the sort. As you can see, Drunken is back now, and the only reason we aren't as "organized" is because we couldn't do anything while he wasn't here. In two or three days we'll be all set. There is NO POINT to starting a new clan with members who left Something Wicked. It's like the South seceding from the North because of slavery... (cool analogy, huh? Of course, that wasn't the only reason...) Anyway, you guys are leaving a perfectly good clan to create a new one that probably won't get off the ground. What's the point? Everyone gets weaker...

Hey, it was good to hear from DD after so long.

I'm sorry, but I have been enjoying the company of resurg, warcow and others. The Elite has now recruited a number of top-notch players (just look at the Rankings:eek: so many of us!) so we are now so established that it would be folly to disband. So I will stay with the Elite, as resurg wants to keep it. If he - the leader :cool: - wants to merge in the future with SW, I am all for it, because I like SW.

DD you have class; I imagine you are upset, and this is no criticism of you or your playing abilities (we have not played each other, unless I'm mistaken), it is simply a case of logging in, not seeing any SW members, and seeing guys like Chaosli, Resurg, Warcow, Aro23r, and Falchion (also team mascot Quasar, who I stayed up with playing like 100 games one night) on I tend to be happier. Perhaps its a time zone thing, I don't know, but I see these people all the time, and SW guys almost never. I hope that changes, and we become friendly rivals dedicated to improving each others' games by whomping the stuffing out of each other.:D

Never any bad feelings for our sister clan Something Wicked! I hope to see you on more in the future.;)

Default setting battles (yeah default sucks, but at least your opponent will be using it too)

Grey formation battles: no drops or gold units

Human only battles: any human units allowed, including drops, no beasts, golems or wards.

Knights only: 3 vs 3 battle royal

Pyros only: 3 vs 3 battle royal (can use the DSM as a pyro or a drop pyro, but no more then 3)
-possible variation on this: DSM, dragon, 2 pyros

I like it. This is just my opinion, but I what I think would be cool is replace the Ray Bradbury's above the Something Wicked with whoever is our current fearless leader, in this case Drunken Dragon, leave the freaky guy with the top hat on and maybe replace the two people running below with TAO characters, and replace the werid looking town type thingy with a screenshot from during some epic battle ingame. Yeah, I like the idea of replacing the actor's names with SW's members. Leave the text at the bottom, just sounds cool to me, but lose the DVD mark, unless you want to leave it there for fun. Hey, brain flash! You know that little mark KOTR has in the forums? Maybe we could make the DVD mark our little mark! Ah, so many ideas.

i was attempting to play a friend here tonight, a drunk friend and he was cussing so he kept getting disconnected. well, tcbb accusses me of cheating and all this nonsense. in now way was i doing anything, i was trying to play a fraternity brother and he was mad and saying wtf and other things of that nature thereby inflicting the cuss filter. so, me and tcbb go on this long thing about he caught me cheating, which i was not in anyway and if you guys can back me on this (logic and vilhelm) that i am good enough that i don;t need to cheat. he tried to say that i have cheated my games and then i explained that i have had 40 losses so he couldn't explain that...i don't know, just venting some frustration here....just let me know your thoughts and hopefully i have some backing here from you guys...sorry for the inconvenience

This is the whole story. I was watching DD04 on the 8th floor. He is playing with a guy(himself on a different computer, I believe). I wrote the name down, but didn't have it now, I will present it if I need to. He won that guy 15 times in 3 minutes, until I annooced that he is cheating. They just keep going on the same spot, and in 2 seconds down, and 10 seconds later up. That guy has 19 loses and no wins the last time I check that guy's score, it's 19 loses and no wins. The guy log off after I accuse DD04 of cheating. They never say a word in the lobby.

DD04 argue with me in the lobby that he is playing his friend who is a nob in college. He said that his friend keep getting disconnected because in collenge they say cuss word as hello. I don't believe his story. I threaten him that if he do that again, I will tell his leader. But now it seem like I need to defend my honor, so I have to put this up.

I told DD04 that i never say his is not a good player, I just don't like the way he wins. I would like a rematch with Sylo, and I was tired of argueing, so I played with Slyo after that, not because I have nothing to say.

By the way, I don't remember playing u Vash, and definitely NEVER lost to u, and NEVER complain in the lobby. Appreciate ur friendship though. I used to think Something Wicked is a good clan, for logic is the only one I played who is better than me. If other players get free wins, I wouldn't care at all.

I hate cheap win and especially cheating. I am the leader of Demonhunter League, and our only rule is that we don't hunt nobs to get easy wins.

I have no need of lying, and I don't know DD04 at all. I will give my leader position to Aro23r in one week and focus on my school work.

The thing i find most irratating about this whole incident is that tcbb reminds me of an uncle of mine. Decent enough guy don't get me wrong, but he is completely incapable of comprehending that his opinion or interpretation of events on any subject could be flawed, let alone wrong.

Now i will give tcbb credit for one thing, he said that he doesn't know DD04, and that's 100% accurate, because if he did he would feel foolish making this accusation.

I won't discredit what he saw however, because it was a poor choice of drunken fratboy friends to try and play against, and i told DD04 as much at the time. Personally i was too drunk to even understand what was going on for about 10 minutes after logging in, so i find this to be a plausable explanation.

As for Something Wicked not being a good clan. So because one of our members made a poor call, and we as a group decide against running him out on a rail based solely on the word of the self appointed moral voice of TAO that makes us a poor clan. Let me say this once and clearly, no one dictates to us as individuals how we must react to a given situation, and no one dictates to Something Wicked as a clan how we must handle our members.

I consider this thing over, and i expect nothing from anyone except to have enough class to keep their opinions about it to themselves. (I'm directing this to people not part of Something Wicked of course)

i hate this new server and these upgrades...i have been disconnected 4 times today and it killed my ranking. Why is this doing this and is anyone else having the same problem. it really pisses me off because i'm winning and then i lose all these points to some golds that i was beating and it absolutely kills my ranking 15-18 points at a time

Disconnects suck, no question, but remember what happened with the old system, a permanent lose on your record, and no way to change it except to wipe your record clean.

Now at least all you lose are a few points that can be regained, hopefully if there is a tech problem causing your disconnects they will have it fixed soon. It might be your ISP though, because i was playing all morning and didn't have any problems.

a couple numbers for the new system:

750: starting point
1000: point where playing new players is no longer rewarding for your record.

I'm looking forward to having a place where we can have more active discussions and not be jumbled all into one thread like we are here.

I've set it up so that the SCREENSHOTS, GENERAL DISCUSSION, and CLAN ANNOUNCEMENTS can be viewed by anyone... but the CLAN STRATEGY GUIDE will only be viewable/postable/editable by our members.

To insure the secrecy of our strategy guide... I have made membership private... so I am the only one who can create a user account there. To join the forums, please go to them and post as an anonymous user with your TAO character name, TAO forum name (if applicable), and your e-mail. I will create your account after I confirm your membership in the clan and e-mail you your password.

I'll be confirming that your username is indeed a clan member before I let you join. also, i'm going to be a little skeptical of people who have a playername different than their posting name here. I plan on using player names as the default on our new forum site.

Drunken Dragon... I would appreciate an up to date list of members... if at all possible.

Hey guys, Sorry I’ve been away for so long…
On top of my life becoming vastly more complicated my cable modem has been suffering some severe problems lately.
Unfortunately I come baring bad news… As I mentioned my life has become worlds more complex in the last week and Its looking like ill have to be moving in a short time, in which case I wouldn’t have a computer for awhile. So, I’m going to have to resign as leader of the clan.
I suppose it could be put to a clan vote, but LondonJack and Skadfather have shown excellent leadership and initiative and I highly recommend them as the clan leaders and sponsors.
As for me, I really have enjoyed this clan and its members, Ill stop by when I can and hopefully in a few months (or if everything goes perfectly, a few weeks) return to it permanently. At which time I would gladly accept leadership again, or just simply being a member depending on how things have gone.

Ill need to transfer the in game leadership status, so lets schedule a time I can meet some of you online, Ill check the message board later today and tomorrow.

Its been a lot of fun guys, I hope I can come back soon.

Kyrios I like the Furgon alot, although I may change my formation again a little, right now I am using 1 Cleric, 2 Scouts, 1 knight, Frostie, Stonie, Dragon, LW, and Furgon. That formation works great although I would like to figure a way to get my 2nd Cleric back in there ;)

Hey guys found out an assuming little story, just thought i would share...

The first clan ever formed on the Legends server was called Noob Slayers. NS contained alot of skilled players (player's such as QuickSandSlowly and theRapizt) and in general was one of the most respected of clans. When clan functionality was added to the game Noob Slayers changed their name to "the Slayer's Guild."

Now some of you might have noticed we have a slayer's guild here on GL as well. My first thought was that it was a branch of the Legends clan, and i asked the leader Dark Angel as much. He asked if i had every heard of theRapizt, and after i said that i had heard of him, he told me that that was who he was, and that's why he was using the same name as his Legends guild.

Turns out however, after i asked around a bit on the Legends board, that not only doesn't theRapizt play on GL, but no one over there has even heard of this guy Dark Angel or his branch of their guild. Turns out the guy is just some wannabe that stole the name. :D

Edit: here's the thread where the guy gets exposed :), after theRapizt's post it just turns into a bunch of GL bashing and pokes at the swear filter, so nothing much to see after that :p
