Alright Guys, that’s our official member list. If your on it be sure to post here so we know your alive and participating.
Now we need to consider if we want to start up our own webpage, I don’t have much experience with that but I have a friend who can help me out. All I’m interested in us having is our own private message board, ether here or on our own webpage.
Ill speak to the admins about us getting one here, but since I don’t think that’s all too likely we might wanna plan on setting up our own. Any one here have any experience doing that?
Aside from running some tournaments in the future, Id like us to set up times on certain days we can meet other clan members for battles. I think it would be cool if we had like themed days such as “On December 12 8-10 central time, everyones army can have a maximum of 2 knights and 1 scout, you must use both pyromancers and no lighting ward” or something to that affect, we could debate out the specifics for the different nights here and have one or two every week.
To get some advertising for our clan and grab some new members I think it would be cool if you would link to this thread in your signatures. Also, if you want to change your title (Gold Account Member) to display the clan name, I think that would look cool… but its up to you.

I broke 100 wins today! :D Actually, I dont think much of stats, jsut thought that was pretty koo. As far as the Website go's I am familiar with Dreamweaver and HTML and can help with a site if ya want me to. Also, you can get some nice message boards going at No-ip.com, but you have to have a PC you can dedicate to being a server. I dont have a PC that I can dedicate fully to that job, so unless one of you have one I would suggest Ezboard.com.

Personally, I think themed fights would be fun if it was kept in the Clan. As long as its not like the guy I "fought" earlier. He joined the game wth an assassin on the field,.... thats all, noone else. And he came up and attacked one of my knights with her like he expected a fight or something :eek: So I saved him alot of pain and froze his assassin with my frostie. hehe

Im still looking for a general opinion on the unit theme days, which I think would be a really cool thing to do....
I think this game is pretty deep and could have alot to offer, but if we always use the same basic units were missing out on alot. Plus, this way we actually get to change things up and see who can play the game without the benifit of their frost golem or dragon tyrant...

Not that we wont have theme days with those units included, its just a way of making things more interesting.

Zdawg, its cool if you object, but I would like to hear some reasoning behind it.

The tournament idea looks fun to me, but that is just my opinion. Never mind. Just a couple more things. One, really, unless I think of something else to ramble on about. I like the way that some of us are putting Something Wicked instead of "Gold Account Member" or whatever they have there. Also, I think it's cool when "Something Wicked (http://www.tacticsarena.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=1355) this way comes..." gets tacked onto the end of our sigs. This one is easier than the other, since it's not even necessary to delete the sig. Just add that in, copy-paste from someone else if you want (I think that should work). That's all.

I think that would just remove some strategy from the game instead of add it... but I suppose it could provide for some intersting matches.
But if we are all using the same setup, wouldnt that imply us using the same or very similar units? So what would be the difference?

Alright, im looking into starting our own board on eZboard, which ill do in the next few days, and later today i will PM AZN_Guy and get us listed on the official clan roster.

Other than that, lets hear some more debate over the unit themed days, because I would like us to start some kind of clan game activitie next week.

Heh, I actually did think about having a custom color scheme for our in game avatars, but I think that would require Seed to program it in for us, and something tells me hes a busy guy...

I've hated the first two movies, liked the last two books, but the third movie looks ok since the actors are out of puberty, and the cgi for dementors looks cool, and its more grim-looking then the first two. It's kind of cool (if you have a lot of spare time) to read the books in order. Her writing improves alot in the course of the five books.

While its true i can remember a time when it seemed AzN_Guy, myself and a few others were the only ones that posted on these boards, i'm still not to sure about that "most respectable" part :D I'd take that as a compliment even if you were being sarcastic. :cool:

You have a good point DD, and some legitimate concerns. I look at it this way. We have a chance here to establish ourselves as a clan that values sportmanship, maturity and/or wit ;) over records or the size of our roster, but in doing so we are going to have to bear the slings and arrows of those that are simply incapable of comprehending that concept.

Granted i could be way off on my perception of the clan's persona, and i'm defiantely not suggesting that we all act like a bunch of choir boys (or girls, PC in parenthesis, at least i'm getting better). Flaming has its moments, but i tend to keep that old clique that compares arguing on the internet and the special olympics in the back of my mind whenever i'm on a message board. That seems to make a somewhat disturbing number of posters on any board difficult to take seriously, but also leaves me with no desire to do so.

Well enough rambling, especially since none of that really addressed your concern about miscommunication within the clan due to wandering spam, but honestly i don't know what we can really do about that at the moment.

Hiya guys, just wanted to let KOTR know that I did not in anyway think that Bigmikeys post represented the whole clan, and thought this would be a good place seeing so many of you posting here today. And I dont hold that post against BigMikey either, I can understand that people get a little overzealous at times. Was just stating my opinion on the matter. I was also glad to see that BigMikey posted the poll and took the matter outside this thread, it showed that he was willing to back off and see what the general consenus was. It takes a good man to do that. I left a post on that poll and voted, I hope it is not taken the wrong way. I was just trying to let my full opinion be known without starting a Flame War.
I have talked to a few of your members in game, though I have yet to play any of you I think. The ones that I have talked to in game seemed to be very good and knowledgable people.

Heres the think DD. My old domain name expired, and i forgot to renew it. I changed my DNS to a different domain, and it takes 24-72 hours to complete the process. Should be ready tommorow. We are talking about anime(not hentai). This is a style of cartoon that origintaes from japan. Anime is an entire category of animted movies and series. It's really a fantasy category. What we are speking in specific to is a series called Trigun. Which is the story of a guy, who was grown, like a tree. This gives him extra abilities, not super powers. But ailities better than a normal human being. It's kinda like a westren. Look it up. Anyone who has never seen anime before I suggest you check it it. It's cool stuff.


Some names are

Trigun, Inuyasha, Guyver, Dragonball, Dragonball z, Dragonball gt, macross plus, yu gi oh(younger age group), soul taker. And from thos you will be able to find alot more.

Ive never been to much of an Anime fan, mostly because I just cant stand it when they try and be funny... Perhaps its because japanese humor suffers a bit through translation, but ive always found it painfully annoying.
I was into Guvyer when I was in elementary school... but that was prolly just because it had violent action scenes and the characters said "dirty words".
I watched the second half of the Guyver series (Episdoes 7 - 12) only a few years ago... I remember thinking it was alright but that the ending sucked... although I cant quite remember what it was...

I saw Princess Mononoki in theaters, it was interesting... visually stimulating if nothing else... but again a bit silly at parts for my tatse.

You have failed to mention my two favorite animes though, Akira and Ghost in the Shell.
They are both pretty awesome animation and story wise, and they avoid that anime humor that annoys me so...
I heard they have recently released a Ghost in the Shell series on DVD in america, ive been meaning to check it out.

DD04, your sig is broken :( all you have to do is turn on IMG tags and type before your adress, and after your address don't forget the / before the second img :) good luck

And I took a little originallity with my tag, the blue flaming one reminds me of the pyro pyrates tag too much :)

I am currently working on an original sig in Photoshop fr the same reason Anal. But thought this one would work until I get one I like, which could take awhile because I am WAY too picky. :rolleyes:

In regards to our rumored KOTR alliance... No one from KOTR has contacted me and disscused having an alliance.... And im not to sure what it would mean if we did... If all it means is that we dont spam the fourms by shouting insults back and forth to each other I would hope that we are allied with all clans.
If KOTR wants to call us their ally thats perfectly fine, but I dont think it means anything at this point.

ok the ONLY confusing part really isn't that confusing, where the {are put[, such as the first img tag, {img} make it and the second tag {/img} make it make sure to put the backslash on the second img tag.

o ya and another thing, u dont have to try and test it, once you change your signature, have you noticed that it changes all of the signatures no matter how long ago it posted
and I agree with whoever said it looks too much like the pyro pyrats, but for now I am using it, I think we should all come up with one and vote on the best one, then ALL of us use it, I checked out the semi clan thing on the legends server, it says your clan name under you so they know your in a clan, pretty tight aye?

I would like to mention that, It was I, who said that "something wicked" tag looked to much like the pyro pyrates one. I shall take the credit :D haha anyways, I am def. going to stay in this game after winning my 3rd witch and 2nd cleric, I've rekindled my addiction to this game. Once you get those forums up and the site up, I could do some jazz for you, like some drawings maybe interview each member of the clan so we can have some bios on the page. I will be pretty active.

Sweet, the clan is looking great so far.. hopefully my new sig works heh.. anyway, when clans are finally implemented into the game i think the game will be much better. this clan rocks aswell, alot of the players are very good as Resurgent said. We now need to get some scheduled events going (such as fights / inclan tournaments, and more stuff like that).

copy it EXATLY like this accept for "the web site I showed u" is the web site that it showed up as... you can't put it in the messages because [img] is off, you HAVE to do it in your SIGNATURE

DD04, it actually may not be you. I dont know what it is about the site this sig is hosted on, but I could not get it to work using that address either. I copied the sig and posted it on mysitespace.com, after I did that it works like a charm.

Or if that doesnt work, make your own account on a Web hosting site and try it that way.

on the reply post, if you are posting a reply, look ad the bottom left of the screen it should say [img]tag is OFF, this means that u may not put a picture in the reply

Uploadit.com did not work, so my dad used his website to make my sig work, and that worked perfectly. I think it can't be straight from a URL because every time someone comes in and wants to view your sig, they will be trying to actually load it from the internet. I think the site blocks people out from loading secuure stuff like that too.

Mine works perfectly tho, so HaHa ;-p

I have NO clue thats wut I'm wondering, dd04 is occasionally on ur on sometimes and 3 other people are on... but it is christmas, people are probably gone, I'm in favor of the seperation of church and state in some things because its better to be free then bound against ur own wishes, but look wut has happened since we took prayer out of our schools? columbine, there is a lot more warfare and violence in our schools today because of it. I am all for people being free, but if we arn't allowing people to pray and be with god on our school campuses, it doesn't matter. Its now descriminanst against christian's and catholic's, and also wrong! as long as we have prayer generally out of our school's, then we are hopeless, we need prayer in our schools! I'm not saying everyone agree's, and I'm not saying we should make people pray. But come on, you should atleast let people that believe in it have rights to have small groups wich encircle the problems in schools and state and pray over them. As well as them together screwing us up because people have problems over christianity, were dead w/o the prayer and loyalty of christians. "aka" sept. 11th, This is a perfect example of wut happened when we did not pray, and think wut did sept. 11th do to our country for a week or two, it brought us closer together, made us pray, if ur looking for a sign then its here. We DO need prayer in our schools and State.

Please, do not take this as an attack against you or as me trying to start a flame war, I respect you in your choice to follow christianity and apparent conviction in your beliefs. But I would ask that you not read too much into things without first asking the person/people what is meant by what they are saying. In having that quote as my sig., I do not mean to say anything about Church and school. I mean to say exactly what the sig. says Church and State, as in Church and Government. The reason I believe this is because if you look back at just about any time in history that Church has been involved with Government or been the Governing class we have had things like the Spanish Inquisition and the Salem witch trials. And other, less violent times, where innocent people may not have been put to death, but were thrown out of Society and banished for not following the accepted religion and choosing to live a life that seemed strange to the people that chose to follow the accepted religion. Church and Government do not belong together. Prayer in school could have a place, as long as it wasnt just christianity that had a place in school. But therein lies the problem, if there is more then one active religion allowed in school, it is going to cause anomosity and maybe even hatred among the students of the different religions. This is why I believe that there is no religion in school. I also dont believe that all the violence in the school systems can be blamed on the fact that there is no Religion in schools. Alot of the violence in could be solved if adults, parents and teachers alike, would learn to take more of an active role in there childs lives. Talk to them, make sure they know what there child is doing and what they like beyond what is obvious. And to know when that child has taken an attitude or taken part in a group that needs to be taken care of. Not to lay it all on the parents either though. Children face alot of problems in todays world that the older generations did not have to face in generations past. Its a problem that is going to have to be solved soon, but I do not think that Religion in school is the sole answer.

if the government is run by a religion then any1 not believing in that relig WILL be segregated, even in places were there was free religion because if th gov is based on 1 relig then the population will believe it better and shun those not following the same beliefs, no matter how little difference between the religions there was

i am in the education field and the reasoning for separating church and school is simple. Some things first, i do believe in
God, i go to church when i can, and i'm a loyal methodist. here in lies the problem, most people aren't methodist let alone christian. the problem with church in school lies in not in the first ammendament, but the fact that some schools force beliefs upon their students. this is however a controversial issue and has been fought in court for years. another problem being seen is that people are afraid of offending others with the discrimination card being thrown around in some cases when religion has arrised. i don't think that religion plays a part in children's education because that is what parent's are for. schools are required to do much for lazy parents and bad families. parents need to take responsibility for their own children like america was in the 1800's. in those days, there were people that were sent around to check the progress of children's learning through random testing. parents were not required to teach their children, but if seen unfit they would be fined out put in jail. just some two cents on the subject. i respect everyone's opinion and in no way bashing your beliefs. that is the great thing about this country, you can say what you want and believe what you want. i do agree on some aspects with what you say, but schools are not ready yet for religion.
