Just to lighten things up around here, I thought that I'd propose a variation of a previous thread. In this thread, however, you propose two horrifying options and the next person has to pick which one they'd prefer to do and why (don't forget the why). And then add a choice of their own.

I'll start.

Would you rather: eat a live bat or saw off your pinkie with a nail clipper?

On a side note, I once worked at a juvenile prison and one of the kids there was arrested for having sex with his dog. Apparently, he didn't understand that petting your dog is OK, heavy petting is not. (The first sentence is actually true, the second one is mine. :) ) And, from a friend I worked with at the time: He asked his dog what kind of sex he liked, and the dog said "ruff!"

I would totally rather drink my piss than die of dehydration. First, piss (when it first comes out) is sterile (and thus will not make you sick). Second, certain people routinely drink the first piss of the day. (Gandhi supposedly did this). Third, dying of dehydration is like dying from the worst hangover of your life. (Much of the headache, etc. from hangovers are really the body's response to a lack of fluids caused by excess comsumption of alcohol.)

Anyway, where was I? Oh right -- weight. I would totally choose to be horribly underweight. Not only has recent research found that rats who were continually underfed actually lived _longer_ than rats on a normal diet, but I think it would be really hard to get around if you were hugely obese.

(Also, I could be a kickass climber if I dropped about 50 pounds. That would put me at 6'1" and 130 pounds). :eek:

Listen to my suggestion about having a "Would You Rather..." tournament or ignore the suggestion and move along with life?

The idea is this, and it may be tacky, but it could turn out being a little bit of easy fun. We'd have people submit either 32 or 64, or even 128 "Would You Rather" options. We'd then select a few forumers to pick which one they would rather do. The chosen one will be eliminated, and the other will move on.

I thought more in depth than this, but if it's not at all interesting then I won't bother. I just thought it'd be fun to see the worst thing we could come up with.

Imagine living forever after humanity has been wiped out, our sun has exploded, and you are just drifting in space endlessly with no hope, but that of existing for all eternity. On the other hand, that would take a very long time to occur. I think that the gift of death is a wonderful one, if you hate life, we always have the choice to end it.
