Ok, don't get me wrong, I do like the Holidays, but there is much that could be done without. What the hell is up with the crazy ladies hell-bent on perfect gifts? God damn, you would think if everyone would take a chill pill that we could manage better than that.

Another point that you will completely understand if you have younger siblings who believe in Santa: It sucks. First of all, our f*cking "family-tradition" says that when my sisters get up, my brother and I are forced out of bed. Due to excitement, they are usually up around 7 am. I am seriously contemplating locking my door and shoving a toothpick in the keyhole this year. Right now, as well, I am hungry as hell but for some reason my mother feels the need to not let me downstairs when I know what every single gift I am getting is.

I may seem to be complaining, but I am merely stating the crappy side of the Holidays. The one part I enjoy the most and can't complain about is New Year's Eve. That day is the glimmer of hope that helps guide me through all the pain of Christmas.

I would like to know what you all think about the crazy Holidays.

PS: I am not Scrooge.

You have it pretty lucky actually.
I'm forced to wake up at 6 AM at the absolute latest.

But I always make room for an afternoon nap.

With no relation to thread:
Julia, you haven't been on MSN for me to wish you a Merry Christmas! And 6am? I feel your pain. Hey! I've been awake for 12 hours today. :) By the way, I'll be gone from tomorrow through Weds, so drop me a PM or get on MSN tonight about when I should be getting the next letter to you.

We do things different. Whoever gets up first, has to wait for the others to get up. And usually, I'm the last one up.
Hmm... I'm hungry too, LAC. But it's 12:30 am I simply didn't go up to my room yet, so I can get what I want. :) Er... sorry. Want me to email you a sandwhich?

Please do! :)
One of the few downfalls of having a comp in your room. -.-

(I'm going to go get something at like 1:30, after the parents are down and out.)

Oh. For some reason my mother deleted MSN from this computer?

We can sort that stuff out when you return.

Try having an asian girlfriend and shopping for something that only exists in asia. I have two little brothers, we have to wake up at 7:30. I've been easing my way into waking up early since Wendesday. I woke up at 11 yesterday !
