I think that there should be a flip formation button in the settings area...
This would simply mirror the formation horizontaly. Such a feature would allow a corner formation to be switched over quickly and I would imagine would be relitively easy to impliment...
And also the little indicator that shows how much damage an attack will do, That should always apear when moving the mouse over another unit with one selected. As is now you can see the damage if you just want to attack, but if it requires a movement first (which you might not want to perform if the attack won't do a certain amount of damage) then it is curently imposible to see this number.
As is I am forced to do the math in my head, which just seams silly.

you dont have to move, to attack.
The mirror formation would be under settings I assume?
As for the damage indicator thing, this is where vets have the advantage over newer players. There is also a site called the damage calculator (search these forums for the link) That will show you how much damage everything does to other units.

also, maybe something to switch the view of a battle. i find it easier to play with my form in the bottom left (ie the southern section of the board) than the upper one, simply switching view around would help a lot.

^ tis a good idea... I am the oposite, I prefer to play on top...
Thanks for the link. I have memorized most of the common ones and If I am unsure then I have been actualy doing out the math, but this will be verry helpfull.
I still think this should be built in. The fact that it does have a damage indicator in the game shows that it was intended to help in this area, but it isn't logical that this should be unusable if the attack requires a move...

Just go along as if that unit was going to attack the enemy unit and read the top corner number. Should read something like -16 or -18, and whatnot. Just go to attack phase first.

The problem is you can only do this if the attack does not require a move before it, such as a knight moving forward and then attacking

I like playing on the bottom better, so being able to switch the field around would be so much easier for me.

And I'm not a man, so I care :D
