I think it would be cool if there were a couple "practice" levels that were non-rated so you could test new formations/unit combinations etc.. Or maybe just adding the feature of having non-rated games would accomplish this.

I also think that in the settings where you define your starting position, if you could see the whole battlefield, and place fake enemy units to see how your formation stacks up against various different ways you place those fake enemy units. >..Also the ability to move units around to simulate battle in your settings (maybe not have an attack mode, but just a positioning mode to move fake enemy units around and counter with your units without having to worry about clicking two units and having them switch positions as would happen in edit mode...allow only battle moves...make any sense? lol...just to practice and familiarize yourself with differnt ways of blocking different attacks that you set up on your own little practice board.)

a simple way to sorta do this is just participate in inner-clan matches. Matches against ur clan mates are not for pts (so ur rank won't change).

Not a bad alternative plan, though it forces people into clans. This game is really built around 1v1 playing, and those who don't want to join a clan wouldn't benefit.

Practice arenas are a bad idea. It destroys the meaning of stats, especially because no weaker player will ever play a stronger player that isn't in their clan unless they do it on a practice level. People who want to work on stats will rarely get games.

wurd.

and if you want to practice, join a good clan. That's kinda the whole point of clans... a group of players u enjoy talking to more and can play games with without worrying about stats.

Monkus, i some what agree with your statement...people who care more about stats than getting better at the game will never challenge a stronger player, the people that realize that you wont get much better unless you play people who are stronger than you will still battle stronger people.
