Big Storm

Well I live on long island and I'm going to get a big blizzard like 2 feet and big drifts. I'm going to be like swimming in snow. It's going to be the best snow storm I have had. But power may go out because of to much snow. Its just starting to snow around my house now.

Yes here in Canada we just had one,Got about 24 inchs of snow and we had big drifts and High winds reaching 65kmp,Very scary power was out for 8 hours.

Hope ya make it though it Mans(Not like you wouldnt but have fun watching snow.

we had one two, i was out snowboarding (kinda) in it, the snow was sticky though so i barely even moved, we got about a foot and a half

yea, i live in ny, by buffalo, closer to ontario really

alot of snow, thing is, i goto starpoint( in the news alot, tim mcvay went here, and we have alot of drug problems) they dont cancel for shit, only like 4/5 buses even made it to school on friday

It's been snowing here non-stop since 4:00 am this morning. I'm not sure how much yet though, but when I look outside, everything is white. :) We're actually supposed to get a thunder storm in the middle of all this. Pretty cool I think. I've never seen lighting and snow at the same time, should be neat to see.

I think we're not supposed to get more than 24" today though.

lol i live in cincinnati and we got 7 in.... people were freaking out cause we usually get like 2 in tops..... still didnt get school of though so the 8 grade students could do damn testing :(

I haven't tried Skiing yet but it'd probably better than snowboading at somes things, but snowboarding I think is just more wicked.

I started skiing when I was 5. My dad taught me.

Then, about 3 years ago I tried snowboarding for the first time. Took no lessons, and my dad couldn't teach me cause he never even tried it.

I actually found it very easy, but maybe that's just cause I used to skateboard alot.

lol sorry couldnt resist, i've got a friend who skatboards a lot and when he tried snowboarding he found it extremely difficult, of course he only got to do it for a day before he got really sick :|

Oh well for some people if they skateboard they might be good at snowboarding. But thats proabably not for everyone. Now at my house its snowing harder. :)

i am sponcered at skateboarding(local) and my snowboarding skill is nothing more then being able to go down a hill

the two are completely different, the only thing thats the same is the pain and both are on boards(not technically, but figurativly)

turning, well, it depends on how you skateboard, i can turn almost 4 different ways on my skateboard

kickturn(wheels slide)
truck turn(an actual turn)
ollie turn(ollie then turn in the air)
pivot turn(weight on tail, board goes on 2 wheels, move front)

Im a good skater...ive won many competions and...snowboarding is nothing like skating...for one the board happens to be attached to your feet... :rolleyes:

not really, but if the board gets more then a inch away from you while your not fliping or rotating, you suck
