i really don't like how you guys (Snork, bigmikeybig) and the rest (you know who you are) continue to fight each other. KOTR people, to insult them just makes you as bad a quality as them! The Knights of the Round Table weren't just elitist people who sat around being elite, they helped people, they were kind and generous and valiant and pure of heart and all that. Let's just say at xyx is a poor brooding individual who probably had a traumatic experience with a knight at a young age to make him so strongly against KOTR, and Snork is just the type of person who likes to say that people suck alot. I won't mention names, but some people in KOTR have been acting up too and insulting xyx's clan, so let's just say we're rivals and leave it at that. Don't hate, propegate.

Just as a note on that; I noticed I posted to a person who had yet to get a response after several days, asking them if they wanted to join our clan. Right away, you post to join your clan instead.
Now, this is perfectly acceptable, and all part of the game. But it's certainly not going to improve relations between us. Rather, it'll just cause resentment. Keep this in mind when asking for both sides to put a stop to the rampant bickering.

They "helped" people. How? Sure, they defended their way of life, and sometimes by doing that they "helped" a couple of people in the short term. I mean, even knights and serfs have some common enemies. Muslims, Saxons, Vikings, bandits, witches, that sort of thing. BUT you have to remember that the system was inherently elitist and prevented serfs from ever being able to rise from their status as poor, uneducated slaves.

No, they weren't kind. Their job was to kill people, remember. And they kept the system alive.

Being valiant isn't in itself a good thing. You have to be fighting for the right cause. And they were clearly not, to anyone who looks closely.

Now even when I am in a battle of words with someone, I still TRY to keep it as clean as possible. Im not sure where I stand on the whole original knihts vs. our knights but in either case is it really that big a deal? (that doesnt need an answer)

First, what are you talking about? When I made that name, I had a reason. My outline of this clan was that the rules would be like the code of chivary- honor, justice, mercy, no swearing (that obviously isn't working out with some people... I hope it will), and keeping obsine things out of your mouth/fingers. I realise that this has not worked out in some cases (hence the name calling) and I say that anything wrong and insulting coming out of a KOTR mouth does not reflect on the clan. And to my clan, I'm sorry but there are a few select people that have an area or 2 to work on.

Now xyxaxyz2, I want you to understand something. I realise that the Knights of the Round Table didn't work back then. This is the remake of them. We try to live by a new code a chilvary. If something doesn't work out in it, we'll most likely change it when the time comes. We aren't here to belitte anyone, like the serfs were. Anyone that has a problem with doing that (constant name calling, mostly starting it) WILL BE KICKED OUT.
I can see where you are coming from, and I simpisise with you. But I assure you, we'll work out the old KOTR's bugs.

I do believe that the main point that jaydude6 is attempting to spread is that members of KOTR who do not follow the code set before them will not be tolerated. I would say that, despite your rejection of the system of knighthood long since gone, the clan you are envisioning shares at least the elitist pride of the knighthood, though not its actual abuse of fellow members of humanity...

A code is naturally exclusive and elitist...why require the following of an arbitrary code unless you have a desire to exclude those who do not share your personal views... or just a desire for power and exclusion in general?

But I won't go any further. There are some in both clans who would want at least a momentary truce, to resort to mere rivalry rather than outright warfare. To this suggestion I only offer one condtion- if anyone attacks me, they should be ready for a counter of at least equal proportions.
