Can anyone show me STEP BY STEP how you take a screenshot?
Just list the steps you took to do it.
(for example:1st step: press prt scrn, then.......)

Get the link to the picture (you may have to upload to get it, if you got the picture from a screen shot).

Also, most forums allow attachments directly from your personal files on the computer, so you could open the file as an attachment if that is the case.

How do you upload it to get the link(how do you get the link)?

Try putting it on a free webhost site, like freewebs or another webhost.
Or you can create your own website for such archives.

to link it once its hosted, right click the uploaded picture, hit properties, u'll see a weblink to the pic.
link THAT and post it, use img tags to post it as a pic, or url tags to just link to it.
example:
{img}http://img45.exs.cx/img45/6350/rain9cr.gif{/img}
OR
{url}http://img45.exs.cx/img45/6350/rain9cr.gif{/url}
just use the [ ] brackets instead of the { } brackets when actually doing it.

I don't think this forum in particular has an attachment button, not that I can see...

Or just make it really easy and go to www.imageshack.us and upload your picture there. Then, after you click "Host it!" there will be a link all setup for forum use.

Lonely, you done it before so just show me STEP BY STEP.
Thash, I feel no need to go through the step-by-step of screenshooting, as that's already been done in the first reply:
1. press prt scrn
2. go to paint
3. click edit
4. click paste
However, for the lazy man, right-clicking and clicking "paste" also works. And Adobe ImageReady is also compatible with screenshots.

Is www.imageshack.us FREE?
Or do they charge you?

I'm having a similar problem. When I try to host at imageshack my image is always to big to save, and when I try it at differen't websites where they size it automaticly it's way to small

I think the image is too big. Go to paint and crop off all of what you don't need. then save it, and try to host it again.

with imageshack, the quickest and best format to use is .Jpg, or .Jpeg
Everything else tend to take a lot longer.
