we play TAO because we like it other wise we would play Runescape...I know a lot of people like Runescape but my advice is to put the poll on a different website ;)

Runescape is even more time consuming than TAO...

That, and I've never enjoyed online RPG's anyway... it's like living a "dream" life... just a waste of your time, rotting away in front of a computer waiting for things to happens. I'd much rather spend my time doing something more productive. ANd yes, i know TAO does the same thing, but not as much, and TAO actually involves thinking about strats, which is a good thing for a chess instructor to practice...

Having played both, I liked them both. Mind you, I had some local friends on Runescape and we did stuff together. I'm sure if I would have ran out of quests, I would not have liked Runescape. I believe I was lvl 74 with 126 quest points. I like quests in pretty much any game, having grown up on FF3 and Zelda.

TAO is great. Thinking game. Lots of strategy. Different from Runescape in many ways. Runescape tells a story, TAO plays chess. It matters on your style.

Personally, I like City of Heroes best now.
