I've been using this setup for a while, and it's worked wonders. I'm curently at a 1437 strategy rating because of it.
I built this first as a solution to defend against rushers, and it works wonders against them, even jerks who put their wisp, scouts, muddy, and ambusher up front. It also devastates turtles and other anti-rushes. It's major weakness are bombs - half the time it wins, half the time it loses against them.
Here is the problem, I'm not sure if this counts as a turtle, a rush, or an anti rush. It has elements of all three, and can be used both offensively and defensively.
The best way to beat a rush is to surround the bastards, which is why I put the fast, far reaching units right before the front. If the rusher wastes his time trying to take out the cleric (which is pretty much a distraction), my fast units will surround the bastards and/or hunt down his cleric. If I'm up against a turtle, I charge the bastard. My furgon and barrier ward are often interchangable with an assassin, as assassins tend to also terrorize rushers.
