I've been screwed quite a few times by an Enchantress that managed to get to half of my units. Any pieces of advice (besides kill it early) that might help me counter them?

scout that sucker to doomsday...
otherwise, keep your units at a range that allows them to hit her, but not paralyze every one of them before she dies.

Simple way to counter enchantress, but not necessarily the frost golem. Ranged units. Bam, enchantress gone, or at least her focus.... hehe.

Most good players will not waste Enchantresses. The Chantie is really only good as an endgame unit. But if you offer an opportunity in the early and mid game, a good player WILL take it. I've swung the battle with chanties using these tactics:
1. Paralyze a unit that's wandering away from the rest.
2. Paralyze a group of units that then forms a wall or "L" around the Chantie protecting it from scout-shots and forcing Knights, etc, to go around.
The real use of the Enchantress - against a player as smart as you - is not to "permanently" paralyze units. Instead you paralyze a group such that it takes, for instance, three turns of Knight movement to get around to the Chantie. The Knight HAS to do this within the deadline or the Enchantress will just snag more units. Then you use those three turns to send up your units that would normally be called "weak", ie Pyros or Witches. The opponent has a lose-lose choice: attack your pieces and lose the next piece that attempts to defrost the Enchantress, or go for the Chantie and take heavy damage from your units.
