i know this may sound weird or different but every gold should at least try this. A mud, stony, furgy, wisp combo. I know it may sound crappy now but once you get in the game this combo is killer. Ecspecially when you want a wall set for the wisp and the wisp goes in there and devestates. Try it out and post back on what you think about this idea.
deeeeam you iz da tite pimp. Da tite pink pimp up unteel some fool steps up on you like da police wif his scouts all knowin his LOS an shiet. Then you be steppin yo azz back to yous hoes ta rethank yo strategieezies. But fo' sho' da wisp an bushes be gettin deyseves capped by dese foo's who be rollin' deep in da cap busters.
For those of you not cool enough to understand street lingo like BinkPimp, this means this formation sounds really good until someone who knows line of sight rips it to shreds, but then again, there's so much ranged damage doers now that anything ranged would rip it apart.

Nads keep up the street lingo because atleast some ppl like me and pimp understand u.Anyways what you said could not have been any truer.BlimpPimp the strategy is kinda good but u have to think about a Plan B incase something goes wrong with the strat.Scout's LOS is it's weakness build up your Defense knowing that. :D
True enough. Playing other golds with ambys kind of undermines this too, which is something that's already been said. For playing against only grey n00bies... it could work, possibly, sometimes.
But don't play anyone halfway decent using it.

I don't know...in one of my turtles, I stone 2 scouts, a mud and a wisp, and have 2 knights and a furgon (and a cleric, of course) unstoned. It does pretty well. Of course, this is assuming that your opponent is turtling, too.
And Binkpimp - I've seen you play. Stop making threads about things you don't understand.

I thought I did. I usually do, even the negative ones, ask around if you like.

I forget to sign mine occasionally. It happens.
By the way...
Stone a DSM and 3 pyromancers. Then as one dies, the other three become stronger. Hahaha. Before anyone jumps me for saying that, I'm kidding.
Until I go gold and figure out how to whoop you with that strat, that is.

you all have 2 boxes except for me :(
anyway...
those are all part of my furgy turtle, but like fry said, it only works against other turtles, a half-decent rush can own so many easily-killed units... Also, it's not new, many ppl have been doing this for ages.

Scrap the muddy IMHO. While it does work pretty well with shrubs, if you're going defensive, there are much better alternatives. Turtlers that stone muddy, wisp, and 2 scouts (quite a common combination, I know Wayfaerer sometimes does this, as does rantzu1 and occasionally me as well) tend to do so to allow themselves the possibility of defense OR offense. If you want to act defensively like this, you can scrap the muddy for a knight, or my personal favorite, a dragon (in the place of a knight and muddy). With LOS, the trick is to use the furgon to keep the scouts out or hindered, let one unit in and paralyze it, and let another in and poison it. The only problem is busher, which can't be hindered by the furgon and need not move close to the turtle to engage. So if your opponent's got a busher, you're in trouble.

This sounds familiar.

The best combo is a furgy, wisp, frosty and muddy. That way, you can either poison and paralyse, or poison and trap with shrubs, and then quake when you get down to 1 HP without hurting the wisp.
Of course, this idea was thought up as soon as the wisp was released, but nice try.

yea i meant this for a turtle not a rush because any rush would probably smash this setup as long as it was a good setup. And fry i know on rev my stats suck but thats my practice server and army's my good server and if you want to play me there sometime, im up for it.
