Well my thought was that perhaps we could have a compromise on "turtle defining." We can have deifned subcategories of turtle games.
One could ask, "Hey can we play a Monkus turtle game?"
Or(since we already do this in the turtle league,) "hey are you up for a Bottle Turtle game?"
The names don't really matter. Its the concept we are here to discuss.
There could also be a freestyle turtle option that allows any units as long as it is basically a turtle. If you asked for a ame in this category prepare to rush or be rushed by same side turtle/rushes.
So what do you guys think about this?
Edit: Well shoot i messed up the poll.

You don't want to over categorize something that doesn't need to be. One of the variables on the game is you don't know what your opponents formation is going to look like.
Plus... If you make new categories you have to define them and that means everyone has to know the definition of that style of game. A lot of players have a hard enough time working out which units to use without them having to know the restrictions each type of game they play has.

i guess. but maybe we could have one categorized style? one where you know the other guy isnt gonna bust a busher and a frontline wisp on you or something ese that is really a same side rush.

Hence the monkus turtle game.

Not to be arrogant, but my set of regulations is the absolute minimum in preventing rushes from being in turtle games. Unfortuantely, cuathon, people lack common sense when doing so serves them best, so unless you can back yourself up with written rules, there's no way you can really force a rusher out of a turtle game.

Usually when i want a defense turtle game i ask for Turtle old style or for opposite sides turtle. It always works and i get the game i like to have.
Especially the opposite sides thing. I believe true turtling is in opposite sides, and in opposites is ok to allow any units. You end having the turtle game u were looking for without forcing ur opponent to remove any unit. Always ends in very interesting, skillful and long games. My favourite kind indeed.

I think we have enough turtle threads... I'm sick of trying to peice together arguements from 5 or so different threads.
