Just because someone has a gold account it doesnt make them a god. They cant do anything they want. As people seem to forget, this is just a game, its all in your imagination. i real life a lot of these people probably get pushed around in school and have never been in a fight or gone out with a girl. They play these games to feel special and important, so when they play a while, they get people to try it and when they beat the pants off of them, it makes them feel special

What makes you think that people who play this game are pushed around in life and/or have troubles in dating? Does that not also reflect poorly upon you, for your associating yourself with us? Just because I stopped buying coffee in the mornings and decided to pay $5 for a game instead, that gives you the right to talk smack?

No one said you had to get a Gold account - nor did anyone say you had to play this fine game. But, if you intend to remain, please attempt to conduct yourself with a little respect. I don't mean to be rude, but there's absolutely no call or provocation for your response to this thread.

Too bad that Gold Members do think they own the online world. Always talking down to people who don't have gold accounts. I'm not a gold member because I don't have access to Paypal and my parents don't ever give me money. I'm sick and tired of being talked down to just because I don't have the tools needed to get the administration the money. It's a free game because the creators didn't want to be like everyone else on the internet and charge money for everything. They just provide a good game for people who have a few minutes and want to have some fun. But it was the Gold members who started turning this into a hierarchy. It could have just been "okay that guy has yellow writing and cool units, he supports this website, and that's that." Instead it became "Oh that person doesn't have the yellow writing, then he must be a freeloader who can't play worth beans." Gold members corrupted a good idea that the creators had.

No the creators made the game to make money. Or otherwise they wouldn't need to go through the hasle of making a a gold registering process. If you like free games go to addictinggames.com I particularly like the heliattack2 game.

They just provide a good game for people who have a few minutes and want to have some fun.

And maybe (just a thought here) to make some money. The game is great but thats my opinion, if you don't like it or can't play then enjoy the trial version (thats right trial version) not the members version.

excuse me why shouldn't we get a little extra for PAYING!!! But a heirarchy would evolve with or without gold accounts. maybe clans would proclaim their dominance maybe someone else would, but someone would.

Ya and no one here has said that greys suck or can't play. Infact I would bet that some of the best players are grey. I would also bet that the majority of golds have been beaten at one point or another by greys (who are by no means incompetent). We sometimes get annoyed though by the newbs who ask us "why is your name in gold?" "how did you get those cool units?" "how do you get new units?"

Gold membership was the creators idea!!! They did NOT create a great game, pay for servers monthly, and expect us to give them nothing in return. If there were no gold members there would be NO TAO.

Now please think through your response before whining more.
