some countries have different school systems so lets see what are they. I would really like to know if someone suffers more :( .
it will go like this : COUNTRY,when does the school start, lenght of breaks....
I ll give u an example :
In Slovakia (i hope every1 except from max knows where it is) the school starts at 8 o clock (sux a lot) - if we have 1. lesson, if we have 0.lesson - ussually P.E. it starts at 7:10 !!! Lessons take 45 mins and we have 10 min. breaks between each and after third lesson 15 min. break. We have 7 lessons at Mon.,Tue.,Wed., 6 at Fr. and Thursday. So i come home at about 14:30. VERY TIRED. I dont even have time for TA !! I ask u who the hell can suffer more :) ?

Pft, 8:00 isn't that early to go to school.
I don't really understand your post though... 0.lesson???
Edit: actually, I re-read it and it doesn't really sound all that bad at all. Shut up and quit complaining.

7am to 4pm, 9 hours, its reasonable. I would stay longer, education is important.

From middle school to high school, school starts at 7:15, and ends at 2:15 in my school system. 8 periods, 45 minutes each, and 5 minute breaks in between bells.

Nobody has any room to complain. We have 40 minute periods, 4 minute breaks. 7am to 4pm, however... Getting an education is the most important thing you will ever do. The time spent in school is well worth it, by any measure.

sorry then .... u would have to try it for yourselves .... 0. lesson is from 7:10 to 7:55 - that means i have to get up at 6 and since it is 0:11 here already its a problem.
School ends at 14:30 then we have a lunch so i leave the school at about 15:00... then language school....

45 minute bells. 4 minute breaks. Isn't really a break, either. You need the entire time to go to your locker and walk to class.
I'm kind of lucky, though. My school leaves an hour early EVERY Wednesday. (I can never spell that..) Teachers have meetings during that hour. It rocks.

Its important cause it is required to move on to higher level education.

Yes, basically, HS education is useful for you because its useful for other people. But staying longer hours at school won't necessarily aid you in that process.

I think the majority live in the US, however... I don't think it depends on the country, doesn't it vary in your country?

when i was in high school it went something like this
classes started at 8:25 am
8 classes, each exactly 44 minutes in length
we had 4 minutes between each class...i think
30 minutes for lunch
we were out at 3:20 pm
i think that is right
well...actually, i just did the math and it is off by 5 minutes...maybe lunch was only 25 minutes
hell...i dont know, that was 7 years ago

Bah stop complaining....
teacher's schedule:
6:30 arrive at school, make photocopies, etc to get ready.
Classes begin 7:40, 6 classes w/ 1 planning period (usually needed to relax so I don't strangle one of the brats.)
School out around 3:00 (2:58 exactly or 14:58 European)
Meetings (Tue-Thurs) till 3:30
Cross country or track practice till 5ish
Go home spend a few hours lesson planning and repeat.
Of course we do get paid... but not nearly enough.
High School is useful because it sets the foundation for higher learning. What kind of job can you do with a high school diploma? Not a whole lot and most of those jobs are done cheaper in China or India (why pay union wages when you can pay under a 1 dollar an hour?). Today you almost always need more training (in college or a technical school) to get a job that is remotely interesting or pays reasonably so high school is just about as useful as grade school is.

It's youre choice if you want to be a teacher. :D
I don't choose to go to school, but even if I did choose I'd probably go anyways. But I'd just randomly skip certain days if I didn't feel like going.

My Xc/Track coach only stays working at our school so he can coach. He loves it, and he is really cool, too. He always makes fun of us in a friendly way and junk, and doesn't care if I swear or do crap around him. It rocks.

What do you mean? Like feeling guilt that I should be in school, but I'm not?
Cause if it was all by choice, I probably wouldn't feel guilty. In fact, I bet if for some insdane reason kids chose to go to school or not, like my whole school would just not show up the first week or so, and then slowly come back.
From my understanding, college is somewhat like that, if you want to go to school, good. If not, that's your problem, and your money. A teacher was talking about college and how you really have to care about your education to make it through.

Currently, for me it's 8:15am to 2:56pm , Monday thru Friday.
6 Classes, 5 minutes break each, 45 minutes lunch break.
Next year will be 7:15am to 3:25pm. 6 Classes. 5 minutes break and 2 hours lunch break ;)
3 hours at high school and other 3 at vocational school.
I heard that somewhere in Texas, you have to have 8 hours of school daily except Sats and Sundays.
School starts at 8:30 and ends at 3:45
We have 8 periods and are divided into Blue and Red day.
Blue Day 1-4 periods
Red Day 5-8 periods
Each class is like an Hour and 45 mins long :(

I start at 8:05 am officialy, we take attendence and stuff at 8:00 am and we get out at 2:15 pm. (1:30 pm on Wednesday) I have 5 lessons sometimes 4 if we have to do something that would take 2 periods. Time and lessons arn't that bad, it's the work and rules that's hell. 1 punch your suspended for 2 days no questions asked and your parents get called.
If you punch some one in school you get 3 days of In School Suspension
