I doubt it, if I put a proxy on one of my random bots, an adelphia account... Random port, would you be able to detect it?

Simply put, every connection you made from it with a certain account would have to match the information available.

Tell you what, if you can make on account on Tacticsfan that comes back that it is from Australia, post on it every day for a week, then I would believe you that you can mask a secondary account so well.

Umm nopes. First off you can't get someones home name or anything out of an ip, its whois is under the ISPs name. Proxys return the same thing. A proxy, the way I use them, would just be some innocent person's computer that I have rooted.

First off, the only way you can identify a proxy is by port scanning to see if there is an open proxy port. You have no idea what you are talking about. They do display correct information because they are just another computer. I have a proxy server running on my computer right now, does that mean it will display false info? No, turn the dumb off.

That wasn't what the argument was about. It was about telling if a proxy is a proxy, and the fact is, if the person that owns it doesn't want you to be able to, you can't. Simply you can make it so only one ip works with it, so a port scan wouldn't even work. However the only way is a port scan.
