My new hatred for wireless phones...

I'm setting up my friends wireless network for her, because she knows squat about computers...

I had to switch through about a dozen channels to finally get a free one from all the wireless phones in range that were disrupting the network. Plus all the time it took for me to realize that the bloody phones were the freakin problem.

I need coffee now...

Yeah. 2.4ghz is pretty full of just about everything.

Now asays 900mhz phones can work better sometimes, just based on lack of sognal interferance.

That doesn;t help with wireless interferance. That simply cuts noise down in the line itself for an ADSL modem. Once you go wireless, there's a whole other problem of signal crowding.

i've never had a huge issue with it before until today.

But good lord...setting up a network in the 5'th story of a dense apt. complex...it was hell. Soooo many freakin signals interferring. I just about told her to just pack it up and forget the wirless.
