My thoughts on crapageddon :eek:

All you GL and Banff guys with your ass in the clouds, you’re missing out on a lot.

I left GL a few days ago, seriously thinking of leaving TAO forever. I was jumped by gold after gold, and noobs who just couldn't put up a real fight. I was even jumped by Terps Rock.

I decided to give army I try. It had lots of nice people who I respected, and even had a BG to try to get into. The first day went great. I played five games, three were newbie’s, and one was a vet. with 1100. I beat all of them and enjoyed all of the games. Then I was jumped by this gold. When he first jumped me, I was kind of pissed, but then I realized he only had two gold units. I lost, but it was a very enjoyable game and I learned a lot.

Something that you non-army people complain about is the excessive amounts of spamming and cybering. After being on army for a week, there was only about an hour of heavy spamming, but even then it wasn’t just like 30 lines of random scribbling that you get on GL.

Another thing that makes army better than GL is, on army we don’t get literally 15 server full messages.

Army is pretty far down the well though. I think one of the problems is The Dawg Pound. One clan shouldn’t be four times stronger than all of the other ones. It kind of takes out any chance of clan rivalries or battles that matter at all.

Over the last week I've never had a bad game on army, and almost all of them have been very enjoyable.

and ive been on army, i played there for 3 months befor comming to great lakes, and after a 5 week session on Banff, though it somtimes seems to have no spammers, their hiding, and somehow the cyber's seem to have gotten a real life, if you want ACTUAL games, more then 1 out of 20, come to bannf (not GL because you piss me off)

Agreed.

Also, i just left army after being there for a long while. (goodness...8 months...no life...) There is a fine line between being a gray on army and a gold on army.

gray = more good games, more playable people, more veteran grays to challenge

gold = no games, dealing with noob golds constantly, higher stat people never playing, TDP people never online, and Wolfman (the blessing of army).

Gold on army sucks. Gray is managable. This would be your gray opinion.

Though Rev is still far superior.

I know that as I got sick and tired of facing mediocre greys in army I went to banff, but that doesn't mean I have completely left army. There are still some good players there, sadly, a lot of them have left. But, we still have wolfy, mega, anarchy(codeman1 ect.) and xerent is still here somewhere...

No matter who the thread poster is, atleast read what they have had to say, I mean if dark demon or some1 like that creates it, well, okay... Yeah, my 2 cents, lets not troll or balanly flame tho, its not necissary.

Precisely what I tell people when they criticize Great Lakes for the current low it's stuck in. Don't disrespect it for it's current status, respect it for the stature it had once achieved. This goes for all servers.

Didn't like it, seemed too immature.
I had a reason for leaving. But when I did leave, I went to Great Lakes, and I thought it was far better than Army, I noticed a big difference.

I think Realist is right for some reason. All the servers do have individual cultures, and GL suits me better.

The Dawg Pound was created by a large group of OutKast members. They left OutKast, and created a new clan. They got up and running, and with many other OutKast members being inactive/leaving, soon became the biggest clan there. It was created by, and contains, some of the best, and most respected players in the game. So naturally, there are gonna be no clan rivalries between it and other clans, since its so well respected.

The old Armageddon was better. Its hit a slump, the same slump GL hit over the summer. It'll be back soon.

How is he wrong? I'd like to commend Rogue for that. To give a more general explanation, Mike the Mauler and -=Raven=- both left Outkast for some reason until now I still haven't figured out. God knows why.. so the two left and formed TDP which has now exploded in Army.

Hi dad.
The Dawg Pound was formed because of somebody that was furious with me. He stated he was making his own clan, and that he'd take all my members from me.
If you look at the top 100 list, almost every Dawg Pound player listed came from my clan or was in the clan briefly, as was the case with the Outkast membes.
I haven't talked to them for a long time, so if you say they're respected, I believe you. That wasn't always the case.
I'm not mad at them. Just something that happened.
