My love for cheese has been re-newed by this excellent blue cheese salad, the motz just wasn't cutting it lately and I need to taste the delights of the greek world...Now why make a thread on something happy? I just had the BEST salad for lunch today! My friend and I went to a resteraunt called Mimi's (I think it's a chain only in Southern California). We ALWAYS get Strawberry lemonade and the French Onion soup there, it's AWESOME (and I'm not feeling good, so it's even better). Soooo, I was starving, and decided I wanted a salad too. I got one called "Bleu Cheese and Walnut". It had crumbled bleu cheese, chopped walnuts, spring greens (my mom calls them weeds :laugh: ), tomato, bacon, STRAWBERRIES!, dried cranberries, all mixed together with a vinegret dressing which I think was rasberry. Y'all have to try it if ever you get a chance!!

And, you can't mess with good ol' fashioned Provalone on a home smoked ham sandwich with Dijon Mustard, lettuce and a slingle slice of tomato.

Though grilled mushroom, cheddar and bacon sirloin hamburgers come darn close.

Salad wise...Ceasar...artichokes...croutons...cranberrie s...romain lettuce...roasted almonds...and my personal touch of tangerine, makes the best salad ever.
